Summary

Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG’s The Infinite Forbidden introduced 100 cards that strengthen some of the most powerful decks, and even breathe new life into some older archetypes that needed a power-up. There are plenty of powerhouses in the expansion, with some cards already being predicted to change the meta completely.

Some cards let you draw from your deck over and over, while others let you use your opponent’s Monsters as material for your own combos. So if you’re looking for a fresh hand trap, or even a new engine to improve the ceiling of your deck, these are the ten best cards in Infinite Forbidden.

Astellar Of The White Forest Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Card Art.

10Astellar Of The White Forest

A Flexible Starter

One of the interesting archetypes in The Infinite Forbidden is the White Forest cards, also referred to as the White Woods archetype. Astellar Of the White Forest lets you send a Spell or Trap card from your hand to the graveyard so she can Special Summon a Light Tuner from the deck.

This already looks very appealing to splash onto decks because it can fetch other White Forest Monsters from the deck or can be used to bring out another Monster from a different archetype. This makes it extremely flexible, but another bonus is how easy it is to bring back from the grave.

Tenpai Dragon Genroku Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Card Art.

9Tenpai Dragon Genroku

Tenpai Dragons are already aggressive monsters that want to kill your opponent in one turn. With Tenpai Dragon Genroku, it has a way to get another body on the board. By adding this Monster to your hand without drawing it, you can Special Summon it as a Tuner for free.

You can then use this Monster as the necessary Tuner for a Synchro Summon, or use its Quick Effect to tag out into another one of your Tenpai Dragons from the main deck.

Silhouhatte Rabbit Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Card Art

7Silhouhatte Rabbit

Search For A Continuous Trap

Silhouhatte Rabbit is a Link-2 Monster with an ability that makes it perfect for fetching Trap Cards that summon themselves as Monsters. This adds many new tricks to trap decks, and you can make due with only one copy of the Trap Card you want to search for.

Aside from that amazing search ability, this Monster is also immune to being destroyed by battle. It can also pop a card in the back row if it is on the field when you Special Summon a Trap Monster.

Mulcharmy Purulia Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Card Art.

6Mulcharmy Purulia

Mulcharmy Purulia is the reincarnation of Maxx C. Like the insect that came before it, it is a hand trap that lets you draw cards whenever your opponent special summons a monster. However, there are a few differences from the signature bug.

For starters, you need to have an empty board when activating it. You also need to shuffle cards back randomly during the End Phase if you have more cards in your hand than your opponent has on the board. Despite the limitations, Mulcharmy Purulia can still help you gain a massive advantage over your opponent.

Fiendsmith Engraver Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Card Art.

5Fiendsmith Engraver

Terrifying New Fiendsmith

Infinite Forbidden introduces a wide variety of Fiendsmith cards ranging from Fusion, Link, and Effect Monsters. Some of the best cards such as Fiendsmith Engraver make up the secret rare roster for this set.

Fiendsmith Engraver can do many things. It can search out your Fiensmith Spells and Traps by discarding itself. It also allows itself to be used multiple times as material by Special Summoning itself from the grave. It can also help you get rid of some of your opponent’s monsters by sending them to the grave.

Fiendsmith’s Tract Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Card Art.

4Fiendsmith’s Tract

A Must Have Starter

One card that can help things get started is Fiendsmith’s Tract. It lets you search out a Light Fiend Monster to add to your hand, then you must discard a card. You can banish this card from the grave to perform a Fusion Summon or you can attach it to one of your Fiendsmith Monsters.

Attaching it as an Equip Spell protects your chosen monster from being targeted by your opponent’s card effects. It can also provide the requirements needed to let Engraver send it and one of your opponent’s monsters directly to the grave.

Fiendsmith’s Reuiem Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Card Art.

3Fiendsmith’s Requiem

A Necessary Component For Future Negates

Whenever an archetype gets a Link-1 Monster, it is usually bound to make those decks a lot easier to use. Fiensmith’s Requim helps you get your combo going but also becomes important in the Fiendsmith engine’s strategy.

Once you get it out on the field, you can tribute it using its Quick Effect to Special Summon another Fiendsmith directly from the deck. Once per turn you can also attach it to one of your Fiendsmiths, preferably Fiendsmith Dies Irae, which can negate cards depending on the combined Link ratings of the Monsters attached.

Moon Of The Closed Heaven Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Card Art

1Moon Of The Closed Heaven

A Common Staple

OneExtra Deck Monster every player needsis Moon of the Closed Heaven. It is also a common card. This generic Link-2 Monster allows you to target one monster on your opponent’s side of the field and use it as Link material as long as Moon points to it.

This is great for removing your opponent’s most powerful monsters from the board, but also helps you climb into higher-ranking monsters. The only drawbacks are that it needs to be used for a Link-5 or higher monster and Moon must also be used as material at the same time.
