Summary
Dead Risingis one of the most realistic depictions of a zombie apocalypse even if later titles get a bit goofier than the original. There are hundreds of zombies on the screen at once and players must use anything and everything as a weapon against the undead.
One of the unique aspects of the franchise is how it treats the bosses, which can be found throughout each day. Human beings are more dangerous than the undead and after watching their loved ones die, they become bosses who most of the time are beyond saving. These are the ten best boss battles in the Dead Rising franchise.

10Adam Macintyre
Out Of Control
Adam Macintyre is one ofthe most iconic clowns in gaming. Appearing on the first night of the original Dead Rising, Adam loses his mind after watching the children he entertained at the mall get eaten by zombies.
While most players will fight him at night, it is possible to arrive early enough to fight him while the lights are still on. He carries the mini chainsaw, which is deadly to you but can also be wielded to pretty much slash through most bosses in the game.

9Brock Mason
Escape Willamette
Brock Mason is responsible for leading an operation that wiped out the South American village of Santa Cabeza. He is also the reason Carlito Keys sought revenge by unleashing the zombie wasps on Willamette.
Brock is the final boss in Dead Rising and, unlike every other enemy you encounter, has two phases; the first is a tank battle where you lay down constant fire on a tank that chases you. His second and final phase has you facing him in hand-to-hand combat; no more weapons, only skills.

8Chuck Greene
People Just Like You And Me
Inan alternate timeline, which is Dead Rising 2: Off The Record, Chuck Greene never made it to the green room in time. Instead, Frank West made it to the safe room and took charge of rescuing survivors while uncovering the mystery behind the Fortune City Outbreak.
With no daughter, but a latent need to provide Zombrex for her, a drunken Chuck carries around a plastic doll. Anyone who touches it faces his wrath as he sees it as an attempt to harm his “daughter”, as he rides a slicecycle and tosses molotovs in your direction.

7Evan MacIntyre
Snow Job
Another boss who appears exclusively in Dead Rising 2: Off The Record is Evan Macintyre; if his name sounds familiar, it’s because he is the brother of the original clown from Willamette. After figuring out who Frank is, he immediately becomes aggressive, ready to avenge his brother.
Evan’s boss fight is cool because it has two stages. The first phase has him fighting you on stilts, while the second reveals he is much smaller and far faster than he initially appears, so defeating him lets you use his freeze gun and clown car.

6Theodore “Teddy” Lagerfeld Jr
Remotely Helpful
Dead Rising 3 restructured how its bosses worked, but this time, each boss is inspired by one of the seven deadly sins. Theodore Lagerfeld Jr is the embodiment of Sloth and the other bosses in the franchise, doesn’t fight you directly.
Instead, Ted sends out drones and machines to deal with Nick, who finds his way into his mansion. Eventually, the fight becomes too overwhelming and Ted dies of a heart attack before you can fight him directly, so this is truly one of the more unique battles.

5The Convicts
Go Guru With Gone Guru
The battle with the escaped convicts is both the worst and the best boss battle in Dead Rising. On one hand, you fight them to Lifeseeker’s Gone Guru, which is always a bop, and defeating them also lets you drive their armored truck and use their mounted machine gun.
On the other hand, they respawn every single day to cause mayhem in the parking area of the mall. This makes escorting survivors a nightmare since the convicts can ram you with the truck or shoot you from afar.

4Diego Martinez
Orphan Number 49
Dead Rising 3 finally reintroduces the idea of 50 children scattered around the United States carrying a dormant strain ofthe zombie virus. Nick Ramos is number 12, and Diego is number 49, but while Diego is an ally during most of the game, his mind reaches a breaking point when he discovers the meaning of the tattoo on his neck.
This starts a unique boss battle taking place in a museum filled with Dead Rising nostalgia. His need to prove himself as a hero results in him donning an astronaut suit and attacking Nick with a jetpack.

3Kent Swanson
Cut From The Same Cloth
Kent Swanson started a trend for every future title, so there is always a character that is the antithesis of the playable character. Like Frank, Kent is a photojournalist who made his way to Willamette during the outbreak.
Unlike Frank, Kent is willing to go to some dark places just to get the perfect shot, so even if that means infecting another survivor just to take photos of him turning. Kent is unique because depending on how long it takes you to get to his final mission, he either succeeded in getting the shot or failed due to your interference.

2TK
TK is a great boss since you encounter him more than once throughout the game, each time building his animosity toward Chuck Greene. You chase him down on your motorcycle and bring down his helicopter during a rooftop battle.
Finally, he kidnaps Chuck’s daughter and Stacey, tying them up and dangling them over the zombie-infested stage of his gameshow, Terror is Reality. This leads to a tense final boss battle where players need to keep an eye on a crank that is always on the verge of dropping their allies into a pit of zombies.

1Stacey Forsythe
A Secret Twist
Stacey Forsythe is an ally in the original timeline of Dead Rising 2; however, Dead Rising 2: Off The Record shows a timeline where she is a secret Phenotrans plant, sent to harvest zombie queens. Unlike her original self, she is cold and ruthless in her mission.
She does not fight you herself but uses a giant stationary mech to claw at Frank. Her boss battle also has three different stages that require you to both throw objects and do complete quick time events to defeat her.
