Summary
Star Wars Unlimited’s bases serve as your primary objective to both attack and defend. These cards feature many iconic locations from the Star Wars franchise and a select few have amazing buffs in exchange for a slightly lower HP.
Your base will provide you with one of three aspects that will determine what cards you can put in your deck, with some requiring you to have doubles in order to play. Choosing a base is both a tactical and aesthetic choice. So which ones feature the most iconic locations to help you theme your deck? Which of the four rare bases has the best ability to use?

8Death Watch Hideout
A Mandalorian Themed Base
Death Watch Hideout is a great thematic card to add a little Aggression and a little Mandalorian spin to your set-up. While it has no special abilities, it is an aesthetic piece that matches with the overall vibe and, like other red bases, can help you fulfill that second Aggression requirement needed to play certain cards.
Aggression has plenty of powerful cards that can guide you towards victory, such as Jango Fett, The Leader Sabine, and even the all-powerful Krayt Dragon. To build a more flexible deck, however, building one with three unique aspects will let you make the most of your deck space.

7Echo Base
An Iconic Base For Command
One of the most iconic battles in the Star Wars franchise is the Battle of Hoth. If you love The Empire Strikes Back, and you want to add the Command Aspect to your deck, then choose Echo Base as your in-game Base.
This will help you meet half the requirements for powerful cards, such as Maul, who has both Ambush and Overwhelm, and Palpatine’s Return, which is an Event that can play cards from the Discard Pile. Make sure to combine Echo Base with a good leader card to meet the requirements for even more card diversity.

6Jabba’s Palace
The Perfect Crime Base
Jabba’s Palace is one of the shadiest locations for smugglers andbounty huntersalike. It’s the perfect card to let your opponent know you have a few tricks up your sleeve. Jabba’s Palace is a Cunning Aspect Base which can lead to many interesting strategies.
Cards you may use by having the Cunning Aspect in your lineup include Bazine Netal which can let you take a look at your opponent’s hand and get rid of an otherwise troublesome card. You can also use Dryden Vos which can put captured cards to good use.

5Dagobah Swamp
A Hideout For Force Users
Dagobah Swamp is the hiding place of the legendary Jedi Master Yoda. Using Dagobah Swamp as your base gives you the ability to add Vigilance cards to your deck during construction. It also gives your deck a nice little display to show that you’re in tune with the force.
Aesthetically, it is one of the better Vigilance bases and lets you work your way towards meeting the requirements for units such as The Mandalorian and completely meets the requirements of one of the best events introduced in Shadows of the Galaxy. Rival’s Fall, which only needs one Vigilance to slide into the deck and automatically defeats a unit for you.

4Tarkin Town
Bases With Abilities
Tarkin Town is the first of the four rare Base cards that have unique abilities. It is an Aggression Aspect Base compatible with many of the units, such as Jango Fett. It also instantly meets the requirements for single Aspect Event cards, such asForce Throw, which is an excellent hand rip.
The Epic Action allows you to deal three damage to an already damaged Unit. This can be used in a variety of scenarios, such as hitting a character with Grit or finishing off one of your opponent’s units that you really need to get rid of right away.

3Jedha City
Weaken Your Opponent’s Units
Jedha City comes straight fromRogue One: A Star Wars Storyand it has a pretty good effect that can shut down a unit for the rest of the phase. By giving that unit a minus four power, you can turn that unit into a sitting duck that won’t be able to damage your units or your base.
If you don’t want to lose your own units by ramming into a powerful enemy, then use the minus four to attack freely without taking damage from the battle yourself. It’s also a good Base to combine with an Aggressive Aspect Leader such as Sabine who wants to mow down units and start smacking bases right away.

2Security Complex
A Free Shield Token
Security Complex is a rare Vigilance Base. Another one of the four special bases, this one lets you give one of your units a Shield Token. From space units to ground units, you can keep your best fighter around longer this way.
What makes this Base good, despite only being able to give one shield, is letting you choose which unit gets it. You could use it to turn a high-power unit into a tower for your opponent to throw their own units at. Having an extra option to choose from at all times is like having an extra card in hand, well worth the 25 HP.
1Energy Conversion Lab
Give A Unit Ambush
One new Base that is considered one of the best is Energy Conversion Lab. This card is a Command Aspect Base that lets you play a six-cost or lower unit from your hand. While you still need to pay the cost to play it, it also gets Ambush, which is one of the best keywords in the game.
The flexibility of choosing any Unit that costs six or less covers so many cards in the game, allowing you to combine Ambush with any other keyword they already have. It’s the ultimate Command Aspect Base to power up your play.
