Summary

InOne Piece, the Baroque Works organization was a criminal syndicate that aimed to rule over the Arabasta Kingdom, something they would have succeeded in if it wasn’t for Luffy and company saving the day. The most memorable part of the group was their naming scheme, with men going by numbers while women were codenamed as days or holidays.

While, in a way, they are already ranked by strength (the lowest number is usually the stronger character), not all of them had the same impact on the story. Just like with the Straw Hat Pirates, not every member is a powerhouse, but everyone is useful in their own way.

9The Members That Aren’t Shown

Including Mr. 11, Since He Barely Appeared

When Nefertari Vivi explains how the naming scheme worked in Baroque Works, she mentions a lot of members from the Frontier who don’t appear in the series. We can assume they were powerful individuals and technically exist, but we have to rank them low due to not knowing much about them.

We’ve included Mr. 11 here, even though he does appear in both the Anime and the Manga. His moment in the spotlight is short-lived, both in time and survivability, since a Billion shoot him called Mr. Mellow.

While they don’t appear in the series, there are sketches of them.

8Mr. 7 And Miss Father’s Day

The Sniping Duo

Masters of long-range combat, the pair of snipers known as Mr. 7 and Miss Father’s Day are sent on long-range missions, even though they only use pistols. Still, they are capable of firing their weapons at strikingly distant targets, so they clearly know what they are doing.

Their involvement in the story is significant, although not as much as the other members. They were there in the final fight of the Arabasta arc, but serve only as stepping stones for Vivi to show how much she’s grown, making them rank the lowest out of all the seen members of Baroque Works.

7Mr. 5 And Miss Valentine

An Explosive Weight

The abilities that Gem (Mr. 5) and Mikita (Miss Valentine) have are impressive, mostly thanks to their Devil Fruits. Gem can make any part of his body create explosions (including the air he exhales) while also being immune to them, while Mikita can alter her weight to be lighter than air or as heavy as 10 tons.

This makes them a deadly pair, and worthy of their rank as some of the few Officer Agents of Baroque Works. Their overconfidence in their abilities ends up being their downfall, getting constantly beaten by the Straw Hat Pirates each time they make an appearance.

6Mr. 4 And Miss Merry Christmas

Also, Their Dog, Lassoo

The perfect coordination shown by Babe (Mr. 4) and Drophy (Miss Merry Christmas) is enough for them to rise to the third rank in terms of strength, but they lack the intelligence and ingenuity of the higher ranks. Still, their abilities can make short work of nearly anyone, being deadly from up close and afar.

This is because Babe is strong enough to wield a 4-ton bat, which he uses for close-quarters combat as well as for sending exploding baseballs at his enemies. Drophy is not much of a combatant, but her tunnels (created thanks to her Devil Fruit, letting her turn into a mole) can be used to close gaps unseen or to set traps for their opponents.

Their strangest member, however, is Lassoo, a gun that ate a Devil Fruit, which lets him turn into a gun-dog hybrid. As for how a gun ate a Devil Fruit isn’t known, but the Zoan-type Devil Fruits can be unpredictable like that.

5Mr. 1 And Miss Doublefinger

Doublefinger Means The First Of January

Daz (Mr. 1) and Zala (Miss Doublefinger) are the deadliest members of Baroque Works, falling below only their leader, Crocodile. They are both Devil Fruit users, changing their bodies to become deadly weapons: Daz can turn any part of his body into blades, while Zala can grow sharp spikes, usually turning her hair into them.

As deadly as they were when they were partners, Daz and Zala have gone on separate ways after the events of the Arabasta arc. While Zala now manages the Spiders Cafe alongside other ex-Baroque Works members,Daz continues to loyally serve Crocodilewherever he goes.

4Mr. 8 And Miss Wednesday

They Aren’t Actually Partners

When the princess of the Arabasta Kingdom, Nefertari Vivi, decided to infiltrate Baroque Works, she was joined by the Captain of the Royal Guard, Igaram, and together they climbed the ranks of the criminal organization. They eventually became Frontier Agents, gaining an alias and a partner in crime.

Igram became Mr. 8, and was paired with Miss Monday, while Vivi became Miss Wednesday and was paired with Mr. 9. They were eventually discovered by the high-ranking agents of Baroque Works, but the friendships they developed with Mr. 9 and Miss Monday made those two criminal members side with them when the fighting broke out.

Their stories are central to the plot of the Arabasta saga, so all these characters had to rank high. Once the dust settled, both Mr. 9 and Miss Monday ended up getting together and having a child, showing that even within the Baroque Works there is a chance for a happy ending.

3Mr. 3 And Miss Goldenweek

The Tactician And The Manipulator

Galdino (Mr. 3) and Marianne (Miss Goldenweek) are dangerous in a different kind of way, at least when compared to the rest of the cast, which is what makes them interesting. Marianne, for example, can influence people’s emotions and actions through her paintings, and this is without the use of a Devil Fruit.

Galdino is the real brains of the operation, able to think up elaborate schemes as well as being a master infiltrator. He isn’t the greatest combatant, but he does have a Devil Fruit that allows him to control Wax, letting him create all sorts of traps and weapons for him to defeat his foes.

2Mr. 2 Bon Kurei

He Needs No Pairing

The abilities of Bon Kurei are many, and he is proficient enough to be able to stand as the second-strongest Officer Agent without needing a pairing. In part, this is because he cross-dresses as a woman, but the real reason is that he works better alone.

When in a fight, his combat and kicks have been seen to go toe to toe with the might of Sanji, and he has only grown stronger since his time in Baroque Works. What makes him unique, however, is his Devil Fruit ability, letting him copy the face and body of anyone he touches with his right hand, making him a master infiltrator.

1Mr. 0 And Miss All Sunday

A Sandy Hand

We all know Nico Robin asthe archeologist of the Straw Hat Pirates, a cunning woman with a Devil Fruit power that lets her grow limbs out of anything within range. She first appeared in the series as Miss All Sunday, one of the administrators of Baroque Works and a real antagonist for Luffy and his friends.

But the real reason her pair is on the highest spot is due to Crocodile, known during his time in Baroque Works as Mr. 0. He was the leader of the criminal organization and its mastermind, whose terrifying sand powers (also granted by a Devil Fruit) make him one of the most iconic villains of the series, and is still as relevant as ever in the current dealings for the search of the One Piece.
