Complete Zenless Zone Zero Bangboo Tier List
Before we delve into why each Bangboo is where they are, here’s thecomplete tier list ofall assignable Bangboos!
Luckyboo
Sumoboo
This Tier List assumes that every Bangboo is fully leveled and upgraded. Obviously, this will favor the rarer S-Rank Bangboos, as they have higher base stats. Most S-Rank Bangboos have perfectly acceptable A-Rank counterparts, so you can play with a slightly inferior version until you roll the S-Rank Bangboo.
S - Tier Bangboos
These are thebest Bangboos you’ll findin the game based on their overall value to the squad:
Agent Gulliver
S
Agent Gulliver has synergy with members ofSection 6,especiallyYanagiandHarumasa, two strong DPS Agents that can take full advantage of Agent Gulliver’s addedElectric Anomaly Buildup.
Amillion
Since you’llunlock Anby, Billy, and Nicole for free, Amillion is theeasiest S-Rank Bangbooto make use of. Its active skill does lots of Physical DMG, making Amillion useful at all stages in the game.
Butler
Manycharacters rely on Energy Regento make use of their kits, and Butler is the best Bangboo for this. If you haveseveral Victoria Housekeeping Co. agents, you can make Butler even more useful byenhancing the Energy Regen Boost.
Officer Cui
Officer Cui synergizesbest withJane Doe, providingincreased physical damage and attackswhen at least twoPubSec Agentsare on the team.
Plugboo
Plugboo is shockingly good, dealing lots of Electric Damage and Electric Anomaly Buildup. With at leasttwo Electric characters, like Anby or Anton, Plugboo’s skills get even more electrifying.
Red Moccus
Red Moccus has very highPhysical damage, and synergizes with theSons of Calydon. Caesar in particular, who is already a very strong Agent, utilizes this Bangboo best.
Resonaboo
Ether-based characters, like Nicole andZhu Yuan from Public Security, mesh well with Resonaboo. Groups of smallerenemies stand no chance against teams with multiple Ether characters, though they can be hard to come by.
Safety
Belobog Heavy Industries characters can make the most use of Safety, as this little helper runs into enemies with a driveable drill. It’llbuff the partyby increasing Chain Attack DMG. Using a character like Koleda Belobog to burn enemies will only increase the buff.
Sharkboo
Sharkboo isgreat forice characterslike Ellen Joeor Von Lycaon, as Sharkboodeals lots of Ice DMG and accumulates Ice Anomaly Buildup. However, since there are limited Ice characters, you may not have a use for Sharkboo right away.
Snap
EvelynandAstraalready make a perfect pair, and Snap further increases their synergy, providinghealth restorationandEther Anomaly Buildup.
A - Tier Bangboos
These areincredibly useful Bangboosthat are slightly less advantageous than the S-Tier Bangboos:
Avocaboo
A
Avocaboo is the only Bangboo that canconsistently heal your squad in combat, which is quite helpful against powerful enemies or long battles. Plus, as an A-Rank Bangboo, it’seasier to obtain.
Baddieboo
Baddieboo deals increased damage with its Chain Attack when an Anomaly character is in the team, and can provide additional support with Fire damage.
Bangvolver
Bangvolver’s abilities let itbuild up Physical Anomaly quickly, making it even more effective if you have multiple Physical attribute characters in the squad. However, sometimes it will fail to shootand instead launch a paintball that does nothing to enemies.
Brawlerboo
Brawlerboo has decentFire damage support, and makes a decent replacement for Rocketboo inFire-based teams.
Rocketboo
Rocketboo is a hothead thatlaunches rockets across the field. Dealing Fire DMG everywhere is a plus, especially if you have multiple Fire agents toboost the effect of Fire Anomaly Buildup. However, at the moment, there are only a handful of enemies weak against Fire.
Penguinboo
Similar to Sharkboo, Penguinboo doeslots of Ice Damage and inflicts Ice Anomaly Buildup. However, the effect isnot as strong as Sharkboo, hence why Penguinboo is only A-Tier.
B - Tier Bangboos
While these Bangboos are helpful, they’reless than optimalfor most squads. However, they can still support your team in combat!
Booressure
Booressurehelps your squad with Energy Regen, but not as much as Resonaboo. However, with a Support character in the squad, Ether bubbles willgenerate more Energy for off-field characters.
Electroboo
Similar to Plugboo, Electroboo will dealElectric DMG and inflict more Anomaly Buildupif you have at least two Electric characters in your party.
Exploreboo
Exploreboo is a bit of a wildcard, buffing the partywith a random effect like healing, a shield, or generating Energy. With a Support character in the squad, the effect is stronger.
Knightboo
Knightboo’s synergy abilityincreases the party’s attack by 92 at max levelwhen they come into contact with one of Knightboo’s Knight’s Stars, which is quite low and not as useful as many other Bangboos you would use instead.
Magnetiboo
Magnetiboopulls enemies closerand pairs well with close-range melee characters. If you have an Anomaly attribute character, therange of Magnetiboo’s skill is increased, making it easier to group up enemies.
Paperboo
Paperbootaunts your enemiesand lures them in, only to blow up in their face. If you bring a Defense character, like Ben Bigger, Paperboo’s Chain Attack will create a shield to protect your squad.
C - Tier Bangboos
These Bangbooshave yet to shinein the game. While adorable, their specific skill set doesn’t particularly mesh wellwith current teams in the meta, though they can still be useful little helpers with some work.
Bagboo
As a Bangboo you get for free, it’s useful, but not as effective as the higher tier Bangboos. However, with an Attack character,Bagboo can be your best friend early in-game. It’ll deal Physical DMG to enemies, doing more damage with its Chain Attack.
Boollseye
Boollseye deals Physical DMG,and if you use a Pierce character, its Chain Attack will become even stronger. However,Boollseye isn’t as powerful as some of the other Bangbooslisted previously. It’s fun to watch them fight, though!
Cryboo
Poor little Cryboo needs love, but it’s not the best Bangboo out there. Itdeals Fire DMG, and it does more Fire Anomaly Buildupwith two or more Fire attribute characters, but not nearly enough to raise it to the next tier.
Devilboo
Devilboo is a mischievous little helper thatdeals Ether DMG to enemies by flyingaround. With at least two Ether characters, the effects increase. If you want to be anagent of chaos, this Bangboo is perfect.
Luckyboo is incredibly hard to find, and that’s to its detriment. Luckyboocan’t be pulled from Signal Searches, so it’s already at a disadvantage. That and the fact that it onlydeals Physical DMGmakes it a less than ideal Bangboo to use in combat.

Sumoboo does AoE Physical DMG,interrupting enemy attackson occasion. However, if you build your squad, you won’t need to interrupt attacks often. Sumoboo isgreat for early-game, but you’ll get better companions later.
