Summary

As far as fighting game franchises are concerned, few things are as cool asTekken’sKing of Iron Fist Tournament. Sure,Mortal Kombathas its own battles between the various realms, andStreet Fighterhas its own tournament, but the King of Iron Fist is wickedly awesome.

After all, which tournament puts a boat load of money on the line, plus control of the Mishima Zaibatsu? Granted, you might have to come face-to-face with a devil fighter, and Eddy Gordo might kick you into the next dimension, but the prizes certainly make the entry worth it.

That said, for as long as Tekken has been around, players have taken control of a fighter. However, during the King of Iron Fist Tournament, there are actual spectators who pay to watch these fights. And if you ever wondered what it would be like to be a spectator, then a Tekken fan put together a mashup of what things may look like.

A Front-Row Seat Might Not Be The Greatest Idea

Taking to Reddit, useryanos626put together a first-person POV of what attending the King of Iron First Tournament may look like.

Check it out:

As you can see, things are pretty intense, and, quite frankly, a little scary. This is just basic hand-to-hand combat, too. Imagine what it would look like if Alisa was using her rocket arm, or Nina Williams pulled out her gun?As one user eloquently put it, “It’s all fun and games until you watch Kazuya fight, and he lasers half the audience.”

The creator didn’t just stop there, because if you turn up the volume, you’ll hear various crowd reactions and noise, all of which have come from real Tekken and Evo events. Again, this is an incredibly neat project that explores an unexplored area of the franchise – the fans paying in-game money to watch this tournament play out.

Perhaps if virtual reality expands enough down the line, gamers could really get to experience things up close. For now, though, we’ll happily watch as many of these matches as possible.
