Even though theNintendo Switchis now officiallythe longest-tenured Nintendo console ever, it’s still hard to find some of the platform’s new and popular games for less. Yes,Mario Kart 8 Deluxemight be seven years old, but when it continues to break the top ten best-sellers every single week,Nintendodoesn’t feel the need to reduce it in price. Even Switch games have been pulled in by Prime Day though, and right now some of the console’s biggest games are available onAmazonfor less.
Topping the bill isThe Legend Of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom. Particularly notable that it’s on sale not only because it has rarely received a price cut since its release a year ago, but also because it remains Nintendo’s only $70 first party game on the Switch. It might only be $10 off, but that brings it down to the standard price for a new Switch game and let’s be honest, you’re getting a lot more from it than you get from almost any other Switch game.

One thing Nintendo rarely does is reduce the price of its Mario games, particularly when those Mario games aren’t even a year old. However,Super Mario RPG, which launched at the end of 2023, is only $40 right now on Amazon. Usually $60, saving $20 on a Mario Switch game of any description is a very big deal, and one you won’t see very often. The even newerPaper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door is also included in Nintendo’s Prime Day shenanigans, but only $5 has been knocked off its regular $60 price.

The Switch game savings this Prime Day extend beyond Mario and Link alone.Pokemon Legends: Arceus, the best Pokemon Switch game that isn’tNew Pokemon Snap, is on sale,as is Pikmin 4.Sonic Superstars has received one of the biggest price reductionsof all, the Switch version of the game down to only $22.99, more than 50 percent off. I know it got a bad wrap when it launched, but I still argue that was because Sega made the bizarre decision to release it a few days beforeSuper Mario Bros. Wonder.Wonder is also on sale, by the way.

Super Mario RPG
Super Mario RPG on Nintendo Switch is a remake of the game with the same name, originally released on the SNES in 1996. A completely reimagined version for an entirely new generation, it includes locations and characters even some of the most experienced Mario fans will have never seen before.
