Speaking of Infinite Wealth, even the newest game in the Yakuza series, so one of the titles released since its name changed to Like A Dragon in the West, is on sale on Steam. Not the 70 percent discount applied to the first five games since it’s so new, but you may currently get it for 30 percent off, down to $48.99 from its usual $70. Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth continues the story of Ichiban Kasuga, in the ninth mainline entry in the series formerly known as Yakuza. It will once again feature turn-based combat, and takes our protagonist outside of Japan for the first time.
That just leaves Yakuza 6 andYakuza 0. I bet you’re starting to get a little worried about which of those two I’ve deemed the best in the series - a real all-or-nothing situation. Don’t worry, Yakuza 0 is the one I consider to be the best in the main series so far. Unfortunately, that means it’s the one that’s not on sale, and I’m not entirely sure why. Probably because it’s so damn good that Steam andSegaare confident they don’t need to cut its price to boost sales, even though it’s a nine-year-old game.
Yakuza: Like A Dragon
Yakuza: Like a Dragon, known internationally as Yakuza 7, introduces a new cast of characters and an entirely new battle system. It also marked the first time a Yakuza game was available with both the original Japanese cast, and a localized English version.
Yakuza 6 is on sale and is 70 percent off like the five games that come before it. This article alone might reinforce just how intimidating it is to start Yakuza from scratch, especially since it doesn’t even mention any of the spinoff games. However, witha Yakuza adaptation coming to Amazon Primelater this year, and the first games in the series available for 70 percent off, now is a great time to start. Before you know it Sega will have released three more games and starting the series will be even more intimidating.
