Summary

Star Wars Outlawslets you do what Luke Skywalker never managed in A New Hope - visit Tosche Station on Tatooine and have a browse of its power converters.

Although it’s certainly a surprise to see a triple-A Star Wars gamethat doesn’t feature a lightsaber-wielding protagonist, the thing that makes Star Wars Outlaws stand out the most is thatit’s the first open-world game the series has ever had. Well, not includingLego Star Wars: The Skywalker Sagaand some of theMMOs the franchise has had.

Not only is Outlaws open-world,but it also features a number of different planets to explore. While some of them are original ones that have been created for Outlaws, such as Toshara, there are a few from the movies. The most notable of these is, of course, Tatooine, which has appeared in what feels like every piece of Star Wars media over the past few decades.

Star Wars Outlaws Has A Few Iconic Tatooine Landmarks

Tatooine might have lost its uniqueness a little bit over the years, but it’s still a treat to be able to explore it in an open-world capacity as we can in Outlaws. That freedom also means that players can finally check out some locations that have been mentioned in the movies and never actually shown, including one that Luke Skywalker mentions during his first moments on-screen.

That location is none other than Tosche Station, whichLuke whines about wanting to visit when his Uncle Owen asks him to help him out with R2-D2 and C-3PO. It’s one of the first things we hear from him, in fact, which makes it funny that we never actually get to see it in any of the movies, as he’s quickly whisked away on a world-saving adventure with Obi-Wan Kenobi.

As showcased by Twitter user keldorjedii, Tosche Station is a visitable area in Star Wars Outlaws and even has an interior that Kay and Nix can go inside. That gives us our best idea of why Luke would ever want to visit it in the first place, as there are arcade cabinets around and a nice little bar that presumably serves blue milk.

You can’t buy any Power Convertors, though. Guess we’re still going to have to wonder what those even are.

Of course, Tosche Station isn’t the only iconic Tatooine landmark that’s featured in Outlaws.Another area that’s directly linked to Luke is Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru’s moisture farm, which is where Vader’s son grew up on Tatooine. Since Outlaws takes place after the events of Empire Strikes Back, the farm is completely covered in sand and has been abandoned.
