Summary
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor’s last-gen port finally has a release date: September 17. This will make the game available on bothPlayStation 4andXbox One, well over a year since it launched onPlayStation 5,Xbox Series X/S, andPC.
It’s unclear how the game will perform on last-gen hardware, and many in the replies are sceptical. We haven’t seen any gameplay footage captured on PS4 and Xbox One just yet, and we’ll have to wait and see ifRespawnshares any ahead of the launch next month.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Is Coming To Last-Gen Consoles On September 17
We knew a last-gen port was coming.EArevealed Respawn’s intentions tobring its latest Star Wars Jedi game to PS4 and Xbox One last August, so this has been more than a year in the making. With any luck, that’s been enough time to make the game playable on the much more limited hardware, although we should certainly expect more than a few compromises. What these are remains to be seen.
At the very least, it means that those of you who enjoyedStar Wars Jedi: Fallen Orderbut never made the leap to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S can play the latest chapter in Cal Kestis' story - even if you’ve had to wait a fair bit longer than everyone else. Jedi: Survivor launched back in April 2023, so making the game compatible with last-gen consoles certainly wasn’t an easy task.
It isn’t often we see a port like this so long after the initial games launch on a more powerful console. In fact, we typically see the exact opposite. And as the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S approach their fourth birthdays, we can expect to see this even less. But in any case, EA hasn’t shied away - we’ll just have to wait and see if it was worth the wait.
