Summary
It’s no secret thatSonyhas a wealth of projects currently in the works. However, what those projects are exactly remains to be seen, as things have been rather secretive. That said, some new details about what Firesprite is working on have leaked online, and they are intriguing, to say the least.
As first reported by MP1st, the leaks point to a horror title within an established IP.It had largely been rumored that the game would be horror-themed, though it potentially being tied to an existing IP is new info. Additionally, it has been leaked that the game could join the likes ofHelldivers 2andConcordin being a day-one release onPC.

Here’s how things shake out:
These Days, Resumes Tell All The Details
Just like withthe recent leaks regarding an unannounced Valve project that could potentially be Half-Life 3, details of Firesprite’s current project stem from multiple employee resumes.
In their report, MP1st notes that game designer Emily Stell had listed a “Narrative Horror Title"on their online resume. That listing noted that the game had been unannounced and would be in Unreal Engine 5. However, most notably, it had bothPS5and PC listed, hinting at a potential day-one release on non-PlayStation hardware.
That said, in the time since their report,Stell’s resume has been amended. It now simply states “Video Game (Unannounced)” in what was originally the place of the horror title, with platforms being listed as TBA.The original resume can be found here.
Moving along,Ren Alex-Rose’s resume details Firesprite’s upcoming game as a “Branching Horror-Adventure” title. Alex-Rose is a narrative designer and writer, and indeed, their official LinkedIn corroborates that bit of intel. The resume, which can be accessed here, described their duties as “designed original, diverse characters, branching plot lines, lore, etc. within pre- established IP,” among other responsibilities.
Now, it remains to be seen which existing IP this game is coming from. The branching plot lines could point to a game in the same vein asUntil Dawn, which is getting a remake due later this fall. Otherwise, the existing IP element remains an interesting part, especially considering the lack of PlayStation-adjacent horror franchises.
