Yesterday, Michael Bay’s studioInvisible Narratives filed a DMCA notice against Garry’s Modafter announcing hisSkibidi Toilet movie and TV franchise.
Garry Newman shared the news on the s&box Discord, which quickly made its way to Skibidi Toilet creator Alexey ‘DaFuqBoom’ Gerasimov. He joined the server to clear the air as it was widely believed he had been the one to issue the notice; “Is there a way to contact Garry? I did NOT strikeGarry’s Modand I’m trying to understand what else is written in the letter!”
Significant revenue is being generated by unauthorised Skibidi Toilet Garry’s Mod games that are being advertised everywhere.
As reported byIGN, Gerasimov did manage to contact Newman shortly after posting that message, as Newman revealed that “DaFuq has been in touch, all resolved”.
So, the DMCA notice has been dropped, but we still don’t know exactly what happened. It seems as though Invisible Narratives jumped to secure the rights to Skibidi Toilet and all of its characters after announcing its new franchise, not realising where the web series originates from.

If you’re not caught up on this viral 2023 internet meme,Skibidi Toilet is a YouTube show made in Garry’s Mod, a lot like the old Full Life Consequences and Idiot Box skits, which is a hit with Gen Alpha given how ridiculous it all is.
The DMCA notice highlighted several key characters they found to be infringing copyright—Titan Cameraman, Titan Speakerman, Titan TV Man, and Skibidi Toilet himself. The issue is that these models were made usingHalf-Life 2characters and assets like Male 07 and G-Man, as Garry’s Mod is a Valve sandbox.
It’s unclear how this will impact the franchise deal if at all, but at least this strange clash was nipped in the bud early.
