Summary
Electronic Artshas announced the seventeenth expansion forThe Sims 4: Life & Death. We know very little about the details of the pack besides the name and general theme, which has led to rampant speculation within the Sims 4 community. Death isn’t something The Sims has ever dealt with in great detail, so everyone is excited to see which direction the expansion is going to take.
Sims 4 expansion packs tend to add new mechanics and a dedicated new world to play in. In severalReddit threadsabout the expansion, the community has been forming a wishlist of what they’d like to see included in the expansion.

Welcome to Hell
“Personally, I need an Underworld location as soon as possible,” one comment reads. A few comments express this same sentiment - people want to experience Hell in The Sims. It would interesting to see what NPCs would populate an Underworld area - would our next door neighbour be John Beezlebub?
“I’m hoping there will be a guardian angel and grim reaper career,” another comment reads. The Grim Reaper has been an iconic character for almost the entirety of the series' history, and finally stepping into the shoes of Death himself would be a delight.

The Sims is always going to have goofier aspects, but some fans are calling for more realistic death rituals. “If we don’t get graveyards, funerals and epic widow veils, I’m flipping tables,” the top comment reads.
A lot of the speculation surrounds the death aspect, but of course, that’s only one-half of the expansion. Others are hoping for an afterlife, a re-work of ghost Sims and more things to do with elderly Sims before they pass on.
We’re going to be getting a full look on October 3 ahead of a release on Halloween, October 31.
