When youmeet Gorak for the first time,and he essentially laughs in your face and kicks you out,Nix will reveal that he stole his ringfrom him during the encounter, spitting it out into the palm of Kay’s hand, where it will then betransferred to your inventory.
While youcan sell it for a quick 500 Credits, we suggest holding on to it,as if youbegin tackling the Pyke Syndicate Faction Quests,you willeventually be confronted by Gorak about the ring,having you make a quick decision on whether to admit you have his ring or lie and say you have no idea what he’s on about.
Returning Or Keeping Gorak’s Ring: Which Is The Best Choice?
If you decide toreturn the ring to Gorak,he will essentiallytell you to keep it up and continue your missions, stating that if Nix steals from him again, he will have him skinned—a harrowing threat, to be sure. You will alsoreceive a decent amount of Reputation Points for the Pyke Syndicatefor returning the ring, which is nice to have, especially early on.
Interestingly enough,keeping the ring will have him tell you to continue tackling the mission as well, but he won’t bring the ring up or mention Nixever again. Youwon’t lose any Reputation Points either.So, essentially, nothing terrible happens if you decide to keep Gorak’s Ring and you cansell it for a smooth 500 Creditsafterward.
Conversely, if you decide tosell Gorak’s Ring the moment it comes into your possession, he will never address you about it; the choice will simply never appearduring the Pyke Syndicate Faction Questline. So,if you’re only after the Credits,we suggestselling it as soon as possiblebut if youwant the Reputation Points,werecommend returning it.Overall, we thinkthe Reputation Points is the better deal all around,but it’s up to you as there’s really no downside here!
