Strengths And Weaknesses
The best part about Shere Khan’s Realm is that your goal is simple:defeat Mowgli when there are no fire tokens present. The downside is that you’ll have to find and defeat him quickly.
There are numerous Heroes in your Fate deck that canhinder your progress, and if your opponent begins placing Fire tokens on your board, you’ll have to remove them first.
Your win condition explicitly states that youmust defeat Mowgli after all Fire tokens are removedfrom the Realm.
Defeating him beforehand is counterproductive.
There’s a lot that works against you, but your Allies are your greatest strength. Few other villains have the same capability tomanipulate the discard pilelike Shere Khan and his Allies.
Shere Khan Strategy And Tips
As Shere Khan, your focus should be ongetting ready to defeat Mowgli. If he’s brought into the Realm early, he can cause a lot of trouble. Make sure youhave either Monkeys or It’s Me, Shere Khan in your handbefore you attempt to vanquish Mowgli.
SinceMowgli will add a Fire tokenwhen played, you’ll want these cards ready toremove the token as soon as possiblebefore sending your Allies after Mowgli.
If things are out of your control, attempt to Fate your opponents to slow them down and take some heat off you.
You’ll also want Kaa to be played quickly. He can help you vanquish powerful heroes when you have Items attached to him. Manipulating your discard pile gives youmore control over your deck.
Make sure to balance playing cards and discarding them, as many of Shere Khan’s actions involveshuffling through your discard pile. You have many Allies at your disposal, socycle through them as neededand don’t be afraid to discard. There’s a good chanceit will make it back into your handbefore long!
