It’s a very highly-regarded JRPG that has been released on multiple consoles. Unfortunately, though, for Nintendo Switch and Xbox fans, the deal is only available for the PlayStation 5 version of the game. As already stated, Octopath Traveller 2 is a JRPG, but it isn’t like most other modern entries into the genre. Octopath Traveler 2 is a JRPG that tells the tale of eight different characters who all have their own stories. You wander around the game world in groups of four, occasionally battling enemies in satisfying turn-based battles.
If you haven’t played the last Octopath Traveler game, you don’t need to be worried, as this game doesn’t continue from that one at all. All eight protagonists are brand new, and their adventures are separate from those in the previous game.
If you have played the predecessor, this one will feel familiar. Outside of the characters and narrative, it isn’t a significant departure from the original. This is a good thing since the first game was also beloved. This one adds a bit of extra depth to its already enjoyable combat. Plus, the beautiful art style looks even prettier in this one.
