Summary

The era of staggered releases of movies, shows, and games has been left in the past, for the most part, but the same can’t be said for the merch attached to those industries. Certain products are released in select countries before getting a worldwide release, testing the waters to see if they’re popular enough to warrant being sold everywhere else. That’s the case forRazer’s Kuromi collection, but the first indicator it has performed well enough in the one country it’s available may have reared its head.

Razer’s Kuromi range includes a keyboard, mouse, speaker, and other accessories sporting the Sanrio character. It was rolled out in China earlier this year, shown off by cosplayers at an event in Shanghai alongside some of Razer’s Gengar accessories. Oh, and before you go looking for the Gengar stuff, that range is exclusive to China as wellfor the time being.

While Gengar’s stuff will remain exclusive to China for the foreseeable future, and maybe forever, Razer has hinted the Kuromi collection will soon be released elsewhere. The gaming accessory brand shared photos of its Kuromi merch on social media, asking fans which countries they’d like to see the items released in next. The replies are naturally filled with Sanrio fans asking for it to be released in the US, and there are also a lot of requests for it to be rolled out in Germany, Canada, and Chile.

How Many People Need To Reply To Make This Happen?

My guess is the collection has performed well enough in China that Razer is now weighing up where to sell it next. It might not be as simple as Razer just releasing it everywhere else either. While it’s likely a given that the Kuromi collection will be sold in the US if it is leaving China, there’s no guarantee it will be released anywhere else. If you want the option to shop the Razer x Kuromi range, respond to the post above with where you’d like to see it show up. Your comment might be the one that tips the scales and convinces Razer to pull the trigger.

On top of the requests for the collection to be released in other countries are some fans asking for Cinnamoroll to get a similar collection. Another Sanrio character, with Kuromi and Hello Kitty getting their own collections, it’s not beyond the realm of possibility that plans for Cinnamoroll to join them are already in motion. If a character ispopular enough to have an ice cream-scented backpack, they’re popular enough to have a range of high-end gaming accessories.
