Wuthering Wavesfeatures a variety of characters with different playstyles in the roster. There are various characters that can deal massive damage effortlessly. Calcharo is among the strongest DPS characters in the game and his kit includes a variety of combo attacks.
Calcharo greatly relies on his Resonance Liberation for maximum damage so focus on increasing his attack and energy recharge so he can use it more often. You should also add a few support characters to the party to boost his attack greatly. Make sure to use his skills often to crush your opponents.
Use Calcharo’s Resonance Liberation Often
During his Resonance Liberation,Calcharo enters a Deathblade Gear state, significantly boosting his damage. It replaces his basic attack with Hounds Roar which lets you hit an opponent consecutively five times with strong Electro attacks. Calcharo’s counter-attack damage is also greatly increased so that you can immobilize enemies quickly.
It’s recommended to increase your energy rechargeby equipping Echoes or a suitable weapon. You will be able to charge up his ultimate quickly, and you can use it more often. After activating his Liberation, hit the opponents as many times as possible before it ends.
If you use his ultimate once, your intro skill will become a much stronger skill namely ‘Necessary Means’. You can use this after you switch back to Calcharo during combat. Rather than using his default intro skill, it’s highly recommended to use Necessary Means after using his Liberation to inflict more damage.
Calcharo’s Combos Work Well With His Single Target Attacks
Wuthering Waves combat is skill-based, and you will often rely on combos. The combo attacks deal much greater damage than simple basic attacks. Calcharo’s kit consists of various combo attacks that can take down several bosses easily considering howhe excels at single-target combat.
Calcharo’s Resonance Skill can be used three times for a combo before it goes into cooldown. verify not to switch Calcharo during this time, as this will end his skill.
Keep in mind that you have to hit the enemy in succession, otherwise, the combo comes to an end, leading to a cooldown and loss of total damage dealt.
You can also do a four-slash combo with his basic attack, followed by a heavy attack to deal tremendous damage.
Try To Utilize Calcharo’s Outro Skill
you may use Outro skills if you switch your character once your Concerto’s energy is full. You can recharge it by damaging opponents or performing successful dodges.
Calcharo’s Outro Skill leavesa phantom that inflicts Electro damage about 195.98 percent+ 391.96 percent of Calcharo’s Attack.After building up some Concerto Energy, you can summon Calcharo’s Phantom as he exits the field for the next Resonator to take his place.
Calcharo’s Phantom will deal damage when your next Resonator is on the field. It’s now also a good chance toswitch with your support characters to give some damage buffs to Calcharo before you switch with him again.
Once your support character’s Concerto energy is full, switch back to Calcharo after he has received his attack buffs.
Calcharo’s Recommended Team
It’s recommended to add damage increasers and healing characters in your team.Verina is an excellent support character for Calcharo, who can heal while also providing damage boosts. You can switch over to Calcharo after using her Liberation once your Concerto energy is filled up. You can also useBaizhior Sanhuafor support roles if you do not own Verina.
Having a sub-dps in your team is suggested as they can inflict damage when Calcharo is off-field. Yangyang and Jianxin are great sub-dps characters.Mortefi can act as a support DPS as his Resonance Liberation applies the Burning Rhapsody effectto all teammates and he will fire Marcatos with basic and heavy damage hits. It suits Calcharo well due to his reliance on basic and heavy attack combos
Recommended Echo Sets
When you are equipping Echoes, make sure to tune them to get better stats. attempt to increase your critical rate and damage stats for better damage.
The Void Thunder 5-piece Echo Set is suggested for all Electro DPSand Calcharo is no exception. The set brings out the damage potential of Electro characters to a great extent, especially after using a Heavy Attack or Resonance Skill. You canequip Thundering Mephis as your main Echoto get additional buffs as it increases your Electro damage along with Resonance Liberation damage.
If you do not own enough Void Thunder Echoes,you can also equip Lingering Tunes 2-piece set to boost your damage. This set is suitable for any DPS character as it increases their base attack making it an excellent alternative for Calcharo.
If you do not own any cost 4 Echo, especially when you are in the early game,you can use Flautist as your Main Echo, who can inflict a decent amount of electro-damagewhen you use it. Additionally, it also recovers your Concerto energy which will allow you to utilize more intro and outro skills.
