If there’s a major IP that has stuff that can be turned into aLegoset, odds are those Lego sets already exist. Lego does have a white whale - or perhaps that should be a white Wailord - however, and it’sPokemon. Mattel’s Mega, Lego’s biggest toy brick competitor, owns the rights when it comes to Pokemon sets, and right now you can get some adorable Poke Ball ones at Best Buy for only $2.99.
Like Lego, Mega’s Pokemon range includes massive sets made up of hundreds, sometimes thousands of bricks. However, there are also smaller sets for kids and Pokemon fans who don’t want to spend hundreds of dollars. At the smaller ends of the scale are Mega’s Poke Ball sets. So small that they’re barely sets at all. They’re only 24 pieces each, but that means they’re super cheap. Even cheaper than usual right now as Best Buy has the Poke Balls for just $2.99, almost 70 percent less than the usual $8.99.
Before you click on the link below and start picking out which ones you like best, there’s a catch. The catch is you can’t pick out which one you like best. The Poke Ball and Pokemon you get will be entirely random. It’s also unclear which of the Poke Balls Best Buy has in stock. Mimikyu, Fuecoco, and Sprigatito are among the options pictured, but the product description includes Torchic, Mudkip, and Alolan Meowth.

Basically the description options don’t match the pictured ones, making what might show up on your doorstep even more random. The whole point of these sets is not knowing what you’re going to get though, so the more mystery the better, right? All I ask is that whoever at Best Buy packages up our Poke Balls makes sure we don’t get multiples of the same Pokemon, if that’s possible. I plan on buying a few of them while they’re $2.99 and as much as I love Quaxley, I could do without getting six of them along with three Alolan Rattata and a Skwovet.
