Summary
Pokemonand Mattel have been working together for years, turning creatures and other elements from Pokemon’s growing world into Mega sets. Earlier this year it created something pretty unique from all of its prior creationsby releasing a Pokedex that you build yourself, complete with cards that let you make the Pokedex look like it’s scanning different Pokemon. Previously a Target exclusive, not only is Pokemon’s Mega Pokedex set now onAmazon, but its price has been cut to less than $25.
The Pokedex set was already relatively cheap compared to some of Mega’s other Pokemon offerings due to its smaller size - it’s only 322 pieces. However, you may currently pick it up for an even more reasonable price as the set is on sale at Amazon for $24.08. The set’s price dropped to less than $25 at the end of last week but it’s unclear how long it will remain that low.

Once you’ve finished building your Pokedex, the set has a couple of interactive elements to make it feel more like the real thing. The blue light on top actually works, and when you press it other elements of your Pokedex will light up. There are five lenticular cards to choose from that can be loaded into the set, each of which puts a Mega version of a different Pokemon on your set’s screen. The five Pokemon included are Pikachu, Eevee, Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle.
