Summary
It might be a cliche, but it really does feel like Christmas comes earlier every year. Holiday stuff will start appearing on store shelves before you know it, and it turns out pre-orders for holiday stuff starts to show up even earlier. In case you didn’t already know, advent calendars are about more than just chocolate nowadays. From beer to cheese, you may get advent calendars with just about everything waiting behind their doors. You can even get an advent calendar loaded withPokemoncards, and pre-orders for the 2024 edition have already begun.
Pokemon TCGadvent calendars have been a thing for a few years, but since the Pokemon TCG wheel never stops turning, an updated advent calendar is released every year. Pre-orders for the 2024 edition of the Pokemon TCG advent calendar are now live, and it costs $49.99 to secure one ready for the holiday season.

Even though this is a Pokemon TCG calendar, Pokemon cards are only waiting for you behind 20 of its 25 doors. Eight doors have foil promo cards behind them, each with a festive stamp that I’m assuming makes them unique to the calendar. There are entire booster packs behind five of the doors, and three-card fun packs behind seven of them. Some of the Pokemon featured on the calendar’s box art, which include Riolu, Snorunt, and Vanilluxe, provide an indicator of what might be included on the cards within.
Holidays Are Coming
Pokemon TCG Holiday Calendar 2024
The Pokemon TCG’s 2024 holiday calendar has a Pokemon surprise waiting for you behind each of its 25 doors. Included among the surprises are eight foil promo cards, five booster packs, and a Chien-Pao dangler.
Other Pokemon playing with Pikachu on the box confirms some of its Paldean pals are waiting behind the 2024 calendar’s doors, as does what I’m assuming will be waiting behind door number 25 - a Chien-Pao dangler. There’s been a real push for the Legendary Pokemon introduced via Scarlet & Violet. Not only is it a featured Pokemon in the new calendar, butits plush is now available to buy from the US Pokemon Centerfor the first time alongside three debuting Paradox plushes.
The remaining four doors will have coins and sticker sheets behind them. The calendar also includes a code for the mobile game Pokemon TCG Live. Interesting that the code is for Pokemon TCG Live instead of Pokemon TCG Pocket. The new virtual trading card gamewas revealed during this year’s Pokemon Presentsand while there hasn’t been an update since, it’s still believed to be launching in 2024. That said, Pocket will not replace Live, and including a code for Pocket with the calendar would have put unneeded pressure on the game to be released before the end of the year.
