Summary
Loungefly introduced a Collectiv rangeto its wide collection of officially licensed backpacks, wallets, and more earlier this year. High-end merchandise that still celebrates your favorite shows, movies, and characters, but in a more subtle way than the colorful and flamboyant designs Loungefly is best known for.LokiandStar Warskicked off the Collectiv range in March, and clearly those options did well as nowPokemonhas joined them.
Revealed by Loungefly today, Pokemon has three Collectiv items that will be available to buy this month - two backpacks and a wallet. The bigger of the backpacks has been designed with the collector in mind (it’s literally called the Collectr) and will cost $125, while the smaller option is a convertible bag that costs $75. Rounding out Pokemon’s first Collectiv drop is a $40 wallet designed to match whichever of the two backpacks you choose.
The collection has a black and scarlet color scheme with subtle nods to your Pokemon fandom featured throughout. All three items have a debossed Pokeball pattern on the outside, and a not quite as subtle black and yellow Pikachu-print lining when you open them up. You and anyone who happens to be admiring your Collectiv Pokemon products at the time will also get a good look at a brightly-colored Pikachu when you open the hood of either backpack as the anime mascot is waiting to greet you on the inside of it.
A First Look At Everything In The Pokemon Collectiv Collection
An outline of Pikachu is also waiting for you on the back of each backpack which is in keeping with the other backpacks in Loungefly’s Collectiv ranges. The Star Wars backpacks have a Rebel Alliance logo embroidered in the same place. Everything in the Star Wars and Loki Collectiv collectionsis available now through Loungefly, and the Pokemon backpacks and wallet will join them this month. It seems likely more Collectiv merch will be coming too with Marvel, Star Wars, and now Pokemon all a part of it.
A busy and expensive week for Pokemon fans who are easily tempted whenever new merch drops. A new jumbo plush was is now available at the Pokemon Center -a $450 Arcanine that is 59 inches long. Unfortunately, despite how much it costs, the fluffy Fire-type doesn’t come withPokemon’s new Eevee and Pikachu promo cards. Available in the US for the first time from now until the end of July, you will need to buy one of the bundles they’re a part of to get your hands on them.
