Since the console’s release in 2020, the world has been treated to manyPlayStation 5bundles. The system has been put into a package with God of War Ragnarok, Horizon Forbidden West, Spider-Man 2, and more.A recent PlayStation Bloghas now revealed that there’s going to be a new bundle for the console on Jun 15, 2025.
This time, it’s going to be paired up with NBA 2K25, which is the latest entry in the yearly basketball series. “Latest” is an understatement, as the game doesn’t actually fully come out until September 6. However, like those who pre-order the game, anyone who gets this bundle will be granted early access to the game. Therefore, you will be first on the court, allowing you to get some reps in before the general public joins you later.
Within the bundle, you get the PlayStation 5 Digitial Edition, so don’t be expecting a disk drive. As such, you don’t get a physical copy of NBA 2K25. Instead, you get a voucher to download the standard edition of the game once you’ve got the console up and running. This also means that you need an internet connection and a PlayStation Network account to install the title. Everything that comes with the bundle is the standard stuff you expect, such as a DualSense wireless controller, HDMI cable, AC power cord, and everything else that usually comes with a PS5. Unfortunately, there aren’t any special plates with the console or anything. So, don’t expect to be able to put Jayson Tatum on the side of your system.

As NBA 2K25 isn’t out yet, it’s unclear how good the game will be. 2K has announced several things for the new instalment, such as some changes being made to the PlayNowOnline mode, including the return of leagues. Other modes for the title have been revealed, too, including MyCareer, MyTeam, and MyNBA. Yet, none of them are new to the series. In fact, these yearly sports titles tend not to change much between releases. On a more positive note, each instalment on its own is an enjoyable basketball game. Therefore, it may be a worthwhile bundle to pick up if you don’t care about the lack of changes or haven’t played any of the 2K titles in a while.
The blog only provides information regarding what’s in the bundle and when it will be released. Therefore, we don’t yet know how expensive it will be. The non-bundle digital edition of the PS5 is $450, so it probably won’t be too far from that price.
