Summary
Once Humanis finally here, a promising multiplayer open-world survival game that sees players fight all kinds of supernatural beasts while finding resources to build their own base. It looks pretty neat, and had a lot of excited fans waiting to dive in and try out the full release following the beta, but those same fans are now a little disappointed as they’re being locked into their first created character, and aren’t being given the option to delete them.
Announced via theOnce Human Discord server, the game will currently only allow you to have one character per account, and won’t let you delete them if you happen to make a mistake. That wouldn’t be a massive problem on its own, but being locked to one character also means that you can’t switch servers in Once Human either, which has the potential to cause a lot more problems.

As someone on the Discord server points out, this problem has the potential to very easily lock people out of playing with their friends, especially since it’s information that has been shared only in the game’s Discord server at the time of writing. In fact, it’s an issue that has already affected many people, with the game’s Steam reviewsalready having dropped to Mostly Negative so soon after release.
Once Human Is Working On Letting Players Have More Than One Character
If you’re one of the players that has been affected, or you’re waiting for the ability to have more than one character before jumping in, you’re unfortunately going to be waiting a little while. A specific date was not confirmed by the devs for when this problem will be fixed, but it did mention in the game’s Discord server that it plans to provide support for multiple characters per account at some point this August.
For now, you’ll simply have to make sure you’re happy with your character andpick the correct serverif you’re planning to play with friends in a different region. If you’re already locked into the wrong server and want to delete your character, you’re unfortunately stuck like that until next month.
