Summary
It’s barely been a month since theNo Man’s Sky’sbigWorlds Part 1update launched, bringing with it sky islands, new water and cloud visuals, anda bunch of new and returning players. That’s not stoppedHello Gamesfounder and managing director Sean Murray fromteasing that Part 2 is on its way, though.
Murray’s first tease, atweet with a single pot emoji, has driven the community wild, with speculation about what it could mean.

Early on, players guessed that the pot meant the game was overhauling its artifacts; however, a new theory has them thinking that it could be implying rivers will be coming to the game.
This Is The Dawning Of The Age Of Aquarius
Over on Reddit, speculation has been rampant about the next No Man’s Sky update, with players quick to share theories on what’s coming to the game next, and the latest guess is very clever.
Reddit userSunnytrickstercreated apostsaying, “What if the pot emoji means Aquarius, the water-bearer? Are we getting rivers?”

While it might be a stretch, given that rivers are conspicuously missing from the game or are at least exceedingly rare, it’s a decent theory. However, standing on its own, it might not have enough legs to stick. Thankfully, there’s further information to add credence to the original poster’s ideas.
It was pointed out that following the first part of the Worlds update, players datamined lots of information about underwater biomes. Thisincludes"a new Subnautica-like mechanic where your oxygen drains faster if you go below 150u, which is much deeper than what we currently have, suggesting we’ll get ocean planets with deeper oceans. It could be the reason we’ve gotten water landing, too." So, while not directly suggesting rivers are coming, fellow players strongly supported this theory, and it certainly looks like Worlds Part 2 will be a heavily water-focused update.

Whatever happens, Murray’s tweets are usually only a few days before an update announcement, so it doesn’t seem like we’ll have too long to wait.
