Summary
TheNo Man’s Skycommunity is feasting at the moment. The newWorlds Part 1 updatehas seen anexponential increase in players, as well asfundamentally changing the game, making it the ideal time to jump back in.
While the game has included more than a fewimpressive bases, one that was recentlyshared on Reddittakes the cake.

Rainbow City, One Of No Man’s Sky’s Most Impressive Creations
Dubbed “Rainbow City,” a likely reference toCyberpunk 2077’sNight City, Reddit userMonstavvvvhas created a full dwelling featuring shops, bars, apartments, a nightclub, and a metro.
Found in the Euclid Galaxy, this astonishing feat of virtual engineering contains over 3,000 different parts, the maximum allowed if you want your location open for visits.

In a video shared by Monstavvvv, the player can be found running around the city, which is the perfect combination of space-core and cyberpunk aesthetics. Massive neon billboards light up buildings, and giant holograms are dotted around the city.
Creating something this large was no small task, with Rainbow City’s creator sharing that it took them “a couple of months on and off,” and the creation has drawn plenty of praise on Reddit, with players calling it “Astounding”, “flabbergasting”, and “Cyberpunk as f”.

If you’re looking to build something similar yourself, don’t expect to be able to do it with just the game’s tools, though, as the OP admitted they did have to use ascaling glitchto increase the size of many of the buildings. Glitches or not, Rainbow City is arguably one of the most impressive “bases” in the whole of No Man’s Sky’s expansive universe. And you can visit it in the Euclid Galaxy right now.
