Summary

Nintendoreleased what will likely end up being the final special editionSwitch Liteconsoles towards the end of 2023via its Animal Crossing-print consoles. A teal Timmy and Tommy’s edition that was exclusive to Walmart in the US, and Isabelle’s Switch Lite that was coral in color and only available at Target. Outside of the US, those consoles were available through other storefronts, and now you can buy the Isabelle Edition of the Switch Lite through Amazon for significantly less than it costs anywhere else.

Highlighted by Nintendeal, the Switch Lite ships from Japan, but before you turn off because you’re expecting the next details to involve enormous shipping costs, hold on just a second. The reason this particular deal is such a good one is because it significantly cuts the price of Isabelle’s Aloha Switch Lite without then taking those savings back. Even though the console is shipped from Japan, shipping is free, meaning you’re really getting the usually-$200 Switch Lite for less than $155.

Similar tothe deal on Kingdom Hearts 3 figureswe shared the other day, this particular price reduction isn’t flagged as a deal on Amazon. The Switch Lite costs $199.99 elsewhere meaning this deal cuts its price by more than 20 percent. It also means there is no way of knowing when this deal will come to an end. If the Switch Lite is still in stock, and for $154.48 instead of $200, you’ll find it through the link in the box below.

Nintendo’s special edition Isabelle Aloha Nintendo Switch Lite. Animal Crossing leaves printed on the back, and included a digital copy of Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

There might be an expectation that Switch consoles of varying descriptions will experience price cuts like this one more and more as we move through 2024 and closer tothe official reveal of the next Nintendo consolebefore the end of the current fiscal year. I wouldn’t hold out hope for that considering the numbers the Switch continues to shift. Having sold more than 140 million consoles, Nintendo is still expecting the Switch to sell at least ten million more before it announces the Switch 2, making it a contender for the best-selling console of all time.

There’s also a Nintendo Direct confirmed to be coming some time this month. That Direct will reveal what Nintendo has planned for the Switch during the second half of 2024. The only two Nintendo-published games still confirmed to be on their way this year areLuigi’s Mansion 2 HDreleasing on June 27, andthen Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition in July. Whatever games Nintendo has coming after that will likely inspire even more people to go out and buy a Switch.
