Summary

It’s September, you know what that means. New video games are about to come at us at an alarming rate.Astro Botand theAce Attorney Investigations Collectionthis Friday, then Warhammer 40K Space Marine 2, thenThe Plucky Squire, and on and on throughout the month until we get toThe Legend Of Zelda: Echoes Of Wisdom. An all-new installment in the Zelda series only a little more than a year on fromTears Of The Kingdom, and if you were hoping to have someamiibocompanions to join you on your journey, now’s your chance to buy them.

Nintendo confirmed which Zelda amiibo will be compatible with Echoes Of Wisdomand what they will do last month. That’s all well and good for anyone who already owns them, but not so great for those of us who don’t. Until now, only a few of the compatible amiibo, of which there are almost 30, had been restocked. That has now changed, at leastat Nintendo’s UK store, as what appears to be all of the amiibo that will unlock stuff in Echoes Of Wisdom have been restocked.

The Legend Of Zelda: Wind Waker Zelda Amiibo

Even though this appears to be a Nintendo UK exclusive for now, there area few Zelda amiibo in stock at the US Nintendo store, and hopefully more will follow between now and Echoes Of Wisdom’s release.

There are even a couple of bundles that combine amiibo with copies of the new Zelda game.Link’s Link’s Awakening amiibo, andZelda’s amiibo from Wind Wakerand Tears Of The Kingdom have been paired with Echoes Of Wisdom in special bundles that cost £58.48 ($77) each. Those and 21 other amiibo are all back in stock along witha set of four figuresthat includes Daruk, Mipha, Revali, and Urbosa for £49.99 ($66).

The Legend Of Zelda: Wind Waker Zelda Amiibo

This Zelda amiibo is based on the Hylian princess’s look in Wind Waker. The amiibo functions with various Zelda games though, unlocking stuff in-game when tapped to your Switch.

This Link amiibo is based on the titular hero’s look in The Legend Of Zelda: Link’s Awakening. A good-looking collectible that you can also use to unlock items in various Zelda games by tapping it to your Switch.

Tears Of The Kingdom Zelda Amiibo

Zelda’s first Tears of the Kingdom amiibo has the princess holding a repaired Master Sword. While tapping the figure on your Switch won’t fix the legendary weapon, it will give you a unique new fabric for your paraglider.

WhenNintendopublished the list of Echoes Of Wisdom compatible amiibo, it confirmed that tapping them to your Joy-Con while playing the game will unlock useful items, just like they have done in previous Zelda games. However, it also revealed that the amibo will also unlock different colors of clothing. The most recent look at Echoes Of Wisdom showed Zelda dressed as Link. Perhaps there’s an amiibo you may use to unlock that look.

Princess Zelda Tears of the Kingdom amiibo

Even though this restock has all but confirmed Echoes Of Wisdom won’t be getting some of its own amiibo, it’s a relief to those of us who have been collecting them for the past couple of Nintendo console generations to see older figures revived for a new game. The last new amiibo was Sora’s which released in February, and Tears Of The Kingdom was the last new game to have its own amiibo. I still have a feeling amiibo will be left behind for the Switch’s successor, though.
