Spotted byNintendo Life, the update on what exactly amiibo will do in Echoes Of Wisdom was shared on Nintendo’s Japanese site. It’s just one, relatively short sentence, but it confirms that tapping pre-existing Zelda amiibo to your Joy-Con while playing Echoes Of Wisdom will unlock useful items and different colors of clothing.

Some of the amiibo to be reprinted and restocked during the build to Echoes Of Wisdom’s release have hinted at which figures will be compatible with the new game, but thanks to Nintendo we now know all of the figures we will need to dust off for a new adventure on September 26. 28 amiibo from throughout The Legend Of Zelda’s Switch run will unlock stuff in Echoes Of Wisdom including all threeTears Of The Kingdomamiibo and variousSmash Ultimatefigures. Time To Bust Out Your Old Amiibo For One Last Mission

If you’ve already got some or all of the amiibo that will get you stuff in Echoes Of Wisdom, good for you. If you want to grab some in time for the game’s release, compatible figures have been popping up here and there. Last week amiibo from Link’s Awakening and Wind Waker went back up for pre-order, releasing on the same day as Echoes Of Wisdom. Hopefully more figures will become available again between now and September 26.
