Zenless Zone Zerohas got off to a magnificent start. MiHoYo’s latest gacha hit reached50 million playerswithin days of launch,became one of the most popular games on PlayStation, and providedenough challenge to keep players coming back.
That’s not to say the game is perfect, though, and there have been slight concerns from within the ZZZ community. Thankfully, MiHoYo seems to be listening to player feedback, setting outa roadmapfor the next two updates, and cleaning up some of the issues that players are having.
Canceling Chain Attacks And Free Exploration In The Works
The Ridu Renovation Talk, Vol. 1, which was shared on the game’s official Twitter account, stated that:
In terms of the narrative experience, in the latest story missions of Version 1.1, for the first time, you will be able to interact with New Eridu’s neighborhoods and fight through levels to advance the story’s progress from the perspective of the mission’s protagonist.
This is likely to be a welcome update for Zenless Zone Zero players, some of whom have shared a slight dislike of the fact you need to enter the TV to fully explore the game. The change will see New Eridu become more of an open world, potentially awarding players new freedoms.
Another change that’s likely to be welcomed with open arms, also coming in Zenless Zone Zero version 1.1, is the ability to cancel chain attacks.
A new “Manual Change Attack” mode will be made available, meaning “after Stunning an enemy, your actions will not trigger other Agents' Chain Attacks.” MiHoYo then adds that “a “Cancel Chain Attack Combo” function will be added to combat, allowing you to choose whether to use the “Manual Chain Attack” mode according to your preferences.”
