The closed beta will begin at noon EST on July 30, 2025, from which point those participating will have six whole days to experience everything Aeternum has to offer, becoming the first people in the world to play New World on console in the process. During the beta, you will be able to customize your character, explore Aeternum’s vast open world, and even experience some of its end game content. The beta will end at noon EST on June 01, 2025.

Those who take part in the closed beta will also be among the first to get a feel for what Aeternum actually is. Almost three years on from New World’sPCexclusive launch, Aeternum is more than just a port. It’s also not really an expansion or a sequel. Aeternum will include everything New World players have experienced so far with what is effectively an entirely new game on top of it. One that keeps New World’s MMO core, but can also be played in single-player like an action RPG.

Don’t go expecting to see clips and images from the beta during or after it’s over. It has been dubbed a confidential closed beta for a reason, and those who take part will not be allowed to stream gameplay nor share images or clips on social media. The purpose of the beta is to gauge how the game performs and to gather feedback so Amazon can best prepare for its full release on October 15. By taking part in the closed beta, you are agreeing to keep your experiences during it confidential.
