Summary

It’s no secretthat FromSoftware games are among the hardest on the planet. They require enormous amounts of patience, precision and practice. Whether it’s the punishing world ofSekiro, the Gothic cathedrals ofBloodborne, or the Lands Between ofElden Ring, FromSoftware games are not for the faint of heart.

That said, despite their punishing predisposition, millions of gamers enjoy the titles. And there’s no doubt that gaming as a whole has taken note of their influence, opting to port different mechanics and ideas into otherwise non-Soulslike titles. So, while there’s a huge portion of players who have overcome failure to beat a FromSoftware title, there are the special types of players who go far beyond.

In the past, brave gamers have beaten these games with a RingFit controller, guitars and even bananas. Yes, you read that right. For the most part, a lot of these methods make some sense. After all, combat is almost like a dance, with players learning the choreography of bosses as they skillfully roll through danger. Coincidentally, one of the most popular ways to tackle a FromSoft game that doesn’t involve a controller is with a dance pad, andTwitch streamer MissMikkaais making it their goal to beatElden Ring’s Shadow of the Erdtreewith only their feet.

MissMikkaa Is Getting Creative With Shadow Of The Erdtree

Over on Twitch, popular Souls streamer MissMikkaa has elected to use a dancepad to conquer Shadow of the Erdtree. This comes after beating the DLC with a plain old controller. Not only are they attempting to beat the DLC with only their feet, they are actively having a conversation and engaging with the chat.

It’s an impressive feat, but based off MissMikkaa’s resume, it’s just another day in life. That’s because, in the past, the streamer has beaten Malenia twice at the same time, using both a controller and a dancepad. They’ve also beaten Elden Ring with one hand, and even one finger. In other words, a dancepad is almost certainly child’s play.

Again, these games are notoriously hard. But the beauty of this communityis its devotion to helping others conquer them, as well as finding new and creative ways to show their skillsets. Bravo, MissMikkaa.
