Summary

Michael Bay, best known for his work directing most of the live-actionTransformersmovies, is reportedly working on aSkibidi Toiletmovie and TV franchise. Yes, you read that right.

As a relatively healthy 25-year-old, there isn’t much online that makes me feel old. Sure, I’m a little out of touch when it comes to K-Pop and memes, but I’m still pretty hip to the internet jive. That all changed when Skibidi Toilet became the next big thing on TikTokand I suddenly felt my bones creak and my hair turn grey as calendar pages flew dramatically off the wall behind me.

For those that don’t know, Skibidi Toilet is one of the biggest things to have come from TikTok in recent years. It started as a strange parody video featuringHalf-Life 2’s Male 07 model sticking his head out of the toiletand singing to a mashup of “Give It to Me” by Timbaland and “Dom Dom Yes Yes”. Over time, though, that dumb meme has transformed into its own 70+ episode media empire. Speaking of Transformers…

Skibidi Toilet Film From Micheal Bay In The Works

As reported by Variety in what has to be one of the weirdest stories I’ve covered at TheGamer, Transformers director Michael Bay is confirmed to be in talks to create a Skibidi Toilet movie or TV show. This was confirmed during Variety’s Strictly Business podcast, which featured Paramount Pictures president Adam Goodman.

During the podcast, Goodman said that Paramount is “absolutely in talks right now” for a Skibidi Toilet movie or TV adaptation. It seems more likely that it’ll be adapted to a TV series, as Goodman notes that the conversations are very early on the film side. As strange as it is, Goodman notes that Skibidi Toilet isn’t the “be-all, end-all” for Paramount.

“We are absolutely in talks right now, both on the television side and the earliest conversations right now on the film side. But it’s not a be-all, end-all for us.”

It seems that Paramount has had quite a few discussions about the potential Skibidi Toilet movie, as Goodman notes that the studio is considering a hybrid of live-action and animation to deliver the story. The tone and style of the movie have been likened to John Wick and District 9, so expect Skibidi Toilet to take itself pretty seriously. I can’t believe I just said that, but I also can’t believe any of this.
