Comprised of seven titles fromMarvel vs. Capcom’sstoried history, the reveal came entirely out of the blue. However, the announcement did, unfortunately, lack one thing — a release date. Now, thanks to a UK retailer, that mystery is no more, as it looks like the game could be released in November.
ShopTo Leaks Marvel Vs. Capcom Fighting Collection Release Date
In a pre-order listing for the new game, UK online retailerShopTosuggests the game is releasing on Jul 05, 2025, a little over three months away. A leak like this, this close toGamescom, suggests the game and its release date will potentially appear at Geoff Keighley’s Opening Night Live, which is set for Tuesday, August 20.
Prior to this leak, the only indication we had aboutMarvelvs.CapcomFighting Collection’s release date was the stinger at the end of the trailer shown above, which states “2024”. Thegame’s official websitestill suggests that the game is coming out in 2024, and Steam lists the title as “Coming soon”.
The collection, which goes under the name of “Arcade Classics”, features seven games in total - X-Men Children of the Atom, Marvel Super Heroes, X-Men vs. Street Fighter, Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter, Marvel vs. Capcom Clash of Super Heroes, Marvel vs. Capcom 2 New Age Heroes, and side-scrolling beat-em-up, The Punisher, which previously only released in arcades and on the Sega Genesis.
The collection is set for release on theNintendo Switch,PC, andPlayStationconsoles. However, the game is conspicuously set to miss Xbox, withengineering problemscited as the reason for missing Microsoft’s platform.
