Ever sinceOverwatchrebranded asOverwatch 2, the game has been mired in controversy with a player base always angry at something or other. So, whenMarvel Rivalscame along, it was like Mercy reaching her hand out to save you, only she was pulling you from the game itself and tossing you into a world of superheroes.
But Marvel Rivals was only available for a blip in time.From July 23 to August 5, you could dive in and try out the closed beta, but the pearly comic book gates are now closed and we’re left waiting for the grand reopening. In the meantime, some players have flocked back to Overwatch, but they’re not having a good time.

We Don’t Know When Marvel Rivals Will Be Back
There’s no word on when Marvel Rivals will release proper, but it’s likely that we’ll get our hands on it later this year or early next. Regardless, the closed beta was a huge success,reaching a player peak 22 times that of PlayStation’s Concord. There’s an audience in waiting now.
We also know that there are several new characters in development—some even launchedinthe beta, like Jeff and Thor. We haveCaptain Americato look forward to, alongsideHuman Torch, Ultron, and Black Widow. Things are clearly ramping up behind the scenes, but until NetEase puts a firm date on the game, we can only wait.
