Summary

Almost 14,000 Pops later, Funko continues to find more things to turn into figures, whether they be characters making their Funko debuts or new versions of characters who already have an army of Pops at their back. MostMarvelheroes fall into the latter category, and despite most of them having a wardrobe of costumes to choose from, finding new ways to turn them into unique figures must still be challenging. Funko has done it again though as its first Carnageized Pops are set to drop this week.

Funko Pop News has provided a first look at the four heroes who have been Carnageized for Marvel’s new line of figures. The collection includes Spider-Gwen, Captain America, Iron Man, and Black Panther. The twist is that each of the Pops has been designed to make the superheroes look like they are being consumed by Carnage. If you’re unfamiliar with Carnage, he’s a symbiote with the same abilities as Venom with a reddish hue so you can tell the Klyntarians apart.

The Pops showcase how Carnage’s attempts to consume and control its hosts aren’t as clean as Venom’s, resulting in a very cool and unique look for the figures that blend each of the heroes' iconic looks with creeping elements of symbiote. Black Panther’s silver and black costume has been almost completely consumed by Carnage Red, just a corner of his mask and claws poking through. Iron Man, however, has been made to look like his mask has been replaced with a symbiote’s face, Carnage clearly aiming for the most important parts of his suit by focusing on the face and the blasters.

Are You Feeling Carnageized?

It’s possible there are more Pops to come in Funko’s Carnageized collection and that more will be revealed once the figures go on sale. Funko tends to release a couple of other figures in collections like these that are exclusive to certain storefronts. For now, the quartet above are the only Carnage-infused Pops to be revealed and they will be available to buy through Amazon and other sites at some point this week, most likely later today as listings for new Pops tend to go live on Wednesday afternoons.

Funko dealtMega Manfans a real monkey paw situation this week. Six years on from the last new Mega Man game, fans of the series will be able to play as the Capcom icon in an all-new gameless than a month from now. The caveat is that the game isFunko Fusion. If you prefer your Funko Pops to be real as opposed to in a game, ten new One Piece figures were revealed last weekto celebrate the anime turning 25.
