Summary
Life is Strange: Double Exposureis going to be the first direct-ish sequel in the series, letting us play as Max Caulfield againfor the first time in almost ten years. This means that the game has to account for two very different world states - did Chloe Price die, or did Max sacrifice Arcadia Bay so she could live?
We already know thatthe devs want to “respect” both endingsand will let players select which one they chose back in the day. However, even though one of the endings would leave Chloe alive, there’s been no sign of her in Double Exposure so far. This has fans worried that she won’t appear in the game at all, despite her ending in the firstLife is Strangeshowing her and Max leaving Arcadia Bay together.

Life Is Strange Fans Are Worried That Max And Chloe Have Split Up In Double Exposure
Fans are flocking to the replies to every tweet made by the official Life is Strange account, begging for news about Chloe in Double Exposure. A lot of it is light-hearted, as many are just eager to see where Chloe is after all of these years, but some are taking it very seriously indeed, offended by the idea that Chloe isn’t in Max’s life anymore.
It was actually possible to keep things platonic with Chloe in Life is Strange… but I don’t think many of us did that.
Unfortunately for Chloe fans, it does look like there’s trouble in paradise between the two. The only hint we’ve had about Chloe’s existence is a gameplay preview mentioning that Max keeps a picture of Chloe in her wallet. We then saw that the player had the option of saying she was just a friend, or a high school sweetheart - neither of which suggests they’re still together. Of course, this could have been from the dead-Chloe ending, so we’ll have to wait and see if the dialogue changes if she’s alive.
In any case, we won’t have to wait too much longer to find out. Life is Strange: Double Exposure launches on October 29th.
