Summary

Yes, I know it’s August and yes, I know if you’re in the UK like me or another part of the world experiencing a heatwave as you read this that it’s a very hot August. So hot that the holidays are likely about as far from your mind as they possibly can be right about now. That doesn’t mean you can’t start getting things ready for Christmas, though. Particularly when it comes to advent calendars since December 25 will be here before you know it, and the day on which you’ll be opening the first door on your calendars will be here 24 days before it.

Legocertainly seems to think now’s a good time to start advent calendar planning as it has added quite a few of its 2024 options to Amazon that you can pre-order now. A new and improved Lego Star Wars calendar leads the way with a surprise from a galaxy far, far away waiting behind each door. There are Minifigures that can only be found in this calendar waiting behind five of its doors, and mini sets that are droids and ships waiting behind some of the other ones.

LEGO Marvel Spider-Man 2024 Advent Calendar

The Lego Spider-Man advent calendar is very similar. Like theStar Warscalendar, there are 24 doors, each with something Lego-themed waiting behind them. Among its Minifigures offerings are Miles Morales, Green Goblin, and Spider-Gwen. There’s even a Lego drumset for Gwen to play as she does in Across The Spider-Verse, presumably behind another one of the 24 doors. It looks like the 24 things will combine to make a Spidey scene that looks like it has been pulled out of NYC during the holiday period.

LEGO Star Wars 2024 Advent Calendar

Lego celebrated 25 years of working with Star Wars in 2024, and it has aimed to represent as much of that history as possible in its 2024 advent calendar. The surprises behind each door are all inspired by Lego Star Wars sets from the past and include Minifigures and mini sets to build as you count down to Christmas.

TheSpider-Manand Star Wars Lego advent calendars are available to pre-order now for $44.99 each and will ship on June 17, 2025. That’s the only real downside as if you’re anything like me, resisting the temptation to start opening doors on an advent calendar for a full three months will be nigh on impossible. It’s hard enough limiting yourself to a door per day, let alone opening none for 91 days when they’re all right there, tempting you. I’m not your parent and can’t tell you what to do, but maybe buy a few Lego calendars - there are alsoDisneyandLego Cityoptions available - and have one for each month between September and December. Sure it’ll be expensive, but it will also be very fun.
