Summary
Legohas provided Mario fans with a steady stream of sets inspired by the Mushroom Kingdom since 2020, but during this year’s Mario Day celebrations, it teased something special. The first-ever Mario Kart Lego sets, but nothing more than a promise they’ll be coming in 2025. Even though there’s still more than four months of 2024 to go, Lego simply couldn’t wait and has shown off all six of its upcomingMario Kartsets for the first time.
Revealed at Gamescom (thanks,VGC) all six Mario Kart sets will be released on June 02, 2025. Still no Mario Minifigures which will be a point of contention for some of you, especially when Mario Kart sets feel like the perfect place to introduce them following so much demand. The pre-existing interactive figures will be able to interact with the Mario Kart sets in new and unique ways though, and the range will include sets for all Lego fans with prices starting at just $14.99.
The cheapest Mario Kart Lego set arguably includes the most popular vehicle from the series of all - the Yoshi Bike. Once you have assembled the set’s 133 pieces you’ll be left with a Blue Yoshi, Yoshi Bike, and some accessories for good measure including an item box and a red shell. If you want someone to throw that red shell at then you will need to buy another set, and next up in terms of size and price is the Standard Kart set.
Every Lego Mario Kart Set Releasing On July 05, 2025
The Standard Kart is the red Mario Kart from the series with a matching glider and a Lego Toad mechanic to perform repairs and apply upgrades. Slightly bigger than the Yoshi Bike, and slightly more expensive, the Standard Kart is one of the sets that the interactive figures can interact with. The larger Toad’s Garage set is also compatible with Lego Mario’s interactive figures. The $39.99 includes two different Toad Mechanics and everything else you’d expect to find in a Mario Kart garage.
