Summary

Legohas turned some iconic ships, vehicles, and buildings into spectacular sets, but let’s be honest, as much as many of us would love to fill our homes withLego versions of Avengers TowerandBarad-dur, we’d have gone bankrupt and have nothing but cool Lego sets to show for it long ago. Thankfully, Lego also sells much smaller sets, including scaled-down versions of some of its bigger ones, and Shield’s Helicarrier from theMCUappears to be the next big set to be getting the scaled-down treatment.

Lego hasn’t officially revealed its new Helicarrier set yet, but the first images of it have beenshared by luckybricks. The Lego recreation of the home base the Avengers retreat to in the sky - or at least they used to, no spoilers - is a little more than 500 pieces and is expected to launch in August. Probably August 1 as Lego tends to drop its new sets on the first of each month, and that’s the same day the nextStar Warssets, includingone that lets you build and design your own droids, will be available.

There is already a Lego Helicarrier set that is almost six times the size of the midi-scale set coming our way soon. That set has since been retired by Lego, butyou can still buy it on Amazon. The trouble is, it’s going to cost you almost $700 to make it yours. Expensive, but it’s a very big and elaborate set. The price of the smaller Helicarrier hasn’t been shared, but my guess is it’ll fall somewhere between $70 and $100. Other Marvel Lego sets of similar size fall into that bracket.

The images of the set also don’t show any Minifigures, suggesting there won’t be any included. A little strange if true as even though it’s significantly scaled down, it still seems to be a big enough set that it would include two to three Minifigures. It might just be a case of them not being shown, but the pictures shared appear to be official Lego ones, so strange that any potential characters included in the set wouldn’t be shown.

Lego’s Star Wars range will continue to expand on August 1 whenits first-ever Dark Millennium Falcon setgoes on sale. The set has been pulled from Lego Star Wars: Rebuild The Galaxy, a miniseries debuting on Disney Plus this September. The show is set in a rebuilt galaxy in which good characters are evil and vice versa. That’s why Darth Jar-Jar and Jedi Vader are among the Minifigures included with the Falcon’s set.
