Summary
A reliableFortniteinsider has revealed that Goku is going to be getting a Minifigure forLego Fortnitesoon, which would be a big deal since we’ve somehow never had an official crossover betweenDragon Balland Lego before.
Although a lot of Fortnite fans were surprisedwhen it was announced that the game was getting a separate Lego mode, it actually makes a lot of sense the more you think about it. Not just because both games focus on building and creativity (well, as long as you’re not on Zero Build), butbecause Lego and Fortnite both love to have crossovers and collaborations with a variety of IPs.
The introduction of Lego Fortnite has also resulted in a bunch of the base game’s characters getting turned into in-game Minifigures, something that’s slowly expanded to include crossovers and collaborations. A lot of the characters being turned into Minifigures already have crossovers with Lego, but there’s one exciting addition on the horizon for a series that has never been featured in a Lego set before.
Fortnite Leaks Reveal Goku Is Getting A Minifigure For The First Time
As revealed by reliable Fortnite insider ShiinaBR and originally discovered by FNBRNewsJP, several Fortnite characters currently have Lego versions of themselves in the works. While Demogorgon and Eleven are neat, the highlight of the leak is the reveal that Dragon Ball’s Goku is being turned into a Minifigure.
This is a big deal for a few reasons. The first is that,no matter how many Lego Beerus memes you’ve seen, Dragon Ball has never collaborated with Lego in the past. Despite being one of the most popular pieces of media in the world, we’ve never had a Lego Dragon Ball set, which seems like a big missed opportunity.
The lack of an official set makes it very interesting that Epic and Lego have worked together to create a Minifigure version of Goku. If it can be done in Lego Fortnite, then perhaps that means that something is possible in the future to get a real-life version of Goku in some kind of kit. That’s just speculation, but it makes sense if he’s got an official Minifigure through Fortnite.
It’s not clear if any other Dragon Ball characters are getting Minifigures in Lego Fortnite, but it makes sense that it wouldn’t just be Goku. Lego Beerus might be about to become a reality after all.
Beyond that, if Epic is working on something to do with Goku, it could suggest that some changes are going to be made to Goku’s infamously wonky model.Fans have been calling for Goku to get some fixes for quite some time now(especially since Goku Black looks perfect), so it would be a good time to make some tweaks.
