Summary
It appears that another potentialXboxexclusive will be making its way toPlayStationrelatively soon. This time, it’s rumored thatIndiana Jones and the Great Circlewill be released onPS5within the first half of 2025.
As first reported by insider NateTheHate, the upcoming Indiana Jones title will seemingly release in December as a timed exclusive for Xbox and PC. Then, once that exclusivity window ends, it’ll be released on PS5 in the first half of 2025.
Those rumors were further corroborated by Insider Gaming’s Tom Henderson. According to Henderson, “some outlets have been given the heads up on the news and have signed NDAs.” He added that he is unsure if the information will be announced at Tuesday’s Gamescom Opening Night Live, or potentially down the line.
Monday’s batch of rumors follows reporting fromTom Warren, another credible insider, from early February, where the journalist reported that “Bethesda is also considering bringing Indiana Jones and the Great Circle to PS5.“It would appear that it’s no longer a consideration and will be the reality at some point.
Indiana Jones Wouldn’t Be The First “Exclusive” To Jump Ship
Already, four previous Xbox “exclusives” in the form ofHi-Fi Rush,Pentiment,Sea of ThievesandGroundedmadetheir way to Sony’s flagship console earlier in the year. Then, whenDoom: The Dark Ageswas revealed,it was announced that it would also simultaneously release on PS5.
Should Indiana Jones make the jump, it would be another title in previously considered “Exclusives” to appear on both consoles. For the uninitiated, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is being developed by MachineGames, the same team behind the Wolfenstein games. It’s an original story featuring an iconic archaeologist with a distinctive first-person perspective.
No release date has been announced, though it has been given a 2024 window.
