Choosing the right teammates to rely on is a good ability, and inMonopoly Go, it can be the difference between finishing an event with the grand prize or falling short due to a partner who doesn’t play as much as you, forcing you to take the lead.
We don’t often get to play partner events in Monopoly Go, but there are a few basics to know about these kinds of events before you dive in. Be sure you’re choosing the most active players on your friends list in Monopoly Go as your event partners to evenly divide the work.

Work Together With Friends To Win Partner Events
You’ll find that most events in Monopoly Go are fully on you - daily tournaments asking you to earn points on Railroad tiles, center-screen events that run for a few days and ask you to collect tokens or hit chance cards, longer-term events like the Peg-E machine or the treasure digs - but partner events meanyou have to rely on another playerto compete.
Most partner events in Monopoly Godon’t begin until you’ve chosen your partner. You’ll often havearound four total partnersduring any given partner event, and at the very beginning of the event, the game will prompt you toinvite players from your friends list to compete with youto earn points together for the event.

This means you’llshare the workof earning points for your team during the event. Unless it’s a team event, which we’ll touch on below, partnerships function individually of one another. In many of these events, there’s a grand prize for finishing all four of your partnership projects, but they’llallneed to be finished - and that’s a lot of work!
Because of this, your best bet is topartner with the most active players on your friends listduring Monopoly Go’s partner events. You know that person whoalwaysseems to have afull stock of shields, who’s always trying toshut down your game board? They’re who you want to ask to play with you!

Active players are more likely to contribute to your partnership, so it’s best to choose those you’ve noticed online the most frequently. Having a partner who plays just as much as you do is critical to balancing the contribution to your total points. During the events, you share a point total with your partner, so if one of you isn’t contributing, you’re likely to fall behind.
You’ll also find thatother players can invite you to partner with themfor the partner event. These appear at the top of the tab with your partner invites, and you may choose to accept or deny the invitation from here. You don’t have to accept an invitationsomeone sends if you’re almost full on partners but have someone else in mind!

That said, once that person has four partners, they’ll no longer be able to accept invitations, and you’re able to’t accept theirs anymore if their partner spots have filled up while you were waiting to hear from someone else. Don’t keep someone waiting too long -events don’t start until you’ve locked in at least one partner, so the sooner you pair up, the better.
Spin The Wheel With Your Partner To Earn Points
During partner events in Monopoly Go, you and your partner will individuallycollect tokens to put toward your shared point total. These tokens are often themed to the event’s theme (ice cream cones during Ice Cream Partners, glowing batteries for the Rocket Partners event, etc.), and they can be collected in a number of way (which I cover more below).
Once you have a good number of tokens saved up, head into the Monopoly Go partner event screen and tap the partner on whom you’d like to spend your points. You don’t have to spend all your points on one partner at a time, so it’s helpful to split up between all of your partners and progressively increase through the ranks.

Like thedaily events and tournamentsin Monopoly Go, partner events offermilestone rewardsas you and your partner progressively reach higher point totals together. You’ll earn prizes for each milestone, which are likely to begenerous cash payouts, hundreds ofbonus dice rolls, assortedcolors of sticker packs, and much more.
If your partner has hit a milestone reward while you were away, you’ll see green arrows around that partnership display the next time you sign in to signify it’s ready to be upgraded.

You’ll need tofinish the event with all four partners for a grand prizefor all your hard work. These are often the hard-to-get, rather desirable thingslike new tokensto use on your own board, decorative shield skins, expressive new emojis, or even Wild Stickers, which allow you tochoose any missing stickerfrom your current albums to receive immediately!
You Can’t Change Partners During Events
Though some of the team events do allow you to switch things up beforehand, for the most part, accepting an invitation locks your partner in for the duration of the event. At the moment, there isn’t a way to switch partners during events in Monopoly Go.
Because of this, you’ll want toconsider another player’s activity levelbefore accepting an invitation. We all have things come up - life happens - but if someone who you’ve seen doesn’t play as often as you has invited you to partner up, you don’t have to accept.
Nothing is worse than getting part-way through the tournament and realizing thatyour partner isn’t pulling their weight, so you’ll need to eitherplay even moreto make up for the lost points on their end, or, in the worst case scenarios, simplyaccept defeat for this partnershipand try again during the next event with someone new.
If you know early on that your partner has bailed on you and you likely won’t complete the partnership on your own, it’s often best toinvest your points into active partnersin this situation instead of sinking the tokens into trying to earn points when you know you can’t win alone.
How To Earn More Points Spinning The Event Wheel
The most reliable way to earn more tokens in partner events in Monopoly Go is toactively play other events running in tandemwith the partner event. There are daily tournaments and the longer-term events that take up the center of your screen under your current cash total, and you’llearn milestone rewardsfor participating in the events.
When partner events are currently happening, a lot of the daily tournaments and center-screen events that happen at the same time will offer tokens toward your partner event in Monopoly Go. Because of this, if you canearn points in the other events and progress through the ranks, there are plenty of tokens for partner events to collect along the way.
You’ll also find that there areoccasionally extra tokens on your board, typically scattered around much like the rent tokens where your friends pay you some of their hard-earned cash. Thesetake your dice roll multiplier into effect, meaning thehigher your multiplierwhen you land on that space, the more tokens you’ll earn.
There are even points to be earnedwhile spinning the wheel and spending your pointsthat you’ve already earned! There are two ways you can get free points for partner events in Monopoly Go, including:
Once you’ve earned your points, choose your point multipliers carefully. I find it’s easier to roll more with low multipliers, since some of the point totals on the wheel arereallylow compared to other spaces on there, and it’s easier to recover from a bad roll that uses 20 of your points than a bad roll that uses 200 of them at once!
