Whether you’re a student yourself, the parent to students, or have just been to a department store lately, you’ll know it’s time for back to school, and so doesMonopoly Go! This week, we have a scholastic-themed event running fromAugust 20 at 4PM ESTuntilAugust 23 at 11AM EST.
This gives you until Friday to get the dice rolling on this next event, running in tandem withthe daily tournamentsthat also get us into that good old school spirit. There are two purple sticker packs on the line at the higher milestones in the Tycoon Academy event.
How To Play Tycoon Academy
Are you and yours all set to head back to school? This time of year is all about new school supplies and settling into a new routine, which means it’s fitting that Monopoly Go’s Tycoon Academy event sees youcollecting apple tokensby landing on the following tiles:
These tiles can normally be daggers in regular gameplay, but since you’re trying to earn extra points in Tycoon Academy, tryusing a higher dice roll multiplierwhen you’re near one of the spaces that pay out points for the event! The number of points is multiplied by your dice roll multiplier, too, so it pays off in the end!
The biggest prize in this week’s Monopoly Go event is a cutenew board pieceof Mr. Monopoly wearing a collegiate sweater and backpack toemphasize the Back to School name with the token. He’s waiting for you atmilestone 17.
Additionally, you’ll grabtwo purple sticker packs,the ones that have five-star stickers, at two of the higher milestone rewards (milestones 45and50) in Tycoon Academy, along with all thosebig cash payoutsandextra dice rollsalong the way.

There are a higher number of cash payouts this week because there seems to have initially been another event scheduled for this week, the rewards for which have been replaced by “Cash Reward” milestones. By upgrading your buildings on each board, you’llincrease your net worth. That higher net worth brings in more money on each of the “Cash Reward” milestones in this and every Monopoly Go event!
