Ready, set,go roll some dice and spend the flag tokens you’re collecting to participate in the September Tycoon Racers event fromMonopoly Go! This month’s team racing event is called Beach Racers to go along with the end of summer theme this week in Scopely’s hit mobile game.
From12PM EST on September 6until3:30PM EST on September 9, you and your teammates will have a few races to show ‘em what you’re made of by rolling to spend the flag tokens you’ve been earning from tournaments and events. The first place team wins some pretty generous prizes!
How To Play Beach Racers In Monopoly Go
On September 5, Monopoly Go allowed us to begin assembling a good team to get ourselves ready for the Beach Racers event, and the races officially began at 12PM EST on September 6. Each day, there will be a new race, withthree races totalrunning throughout the weekend.
Though you’re able to leave a team before the event begins,you can’t change partners once Beach Racers formally beginson September 6 at noon EST. This is why it’s always best topartner with your most active friends during joint events!
Each team will be scored onhow many points are earned collectively, which means each of thefour people on a teamwill need to participate in the event in order to secure a victory. The score your team earns at the end is a total of how many points each player earns individually, so the more you roll during Beach Racers in Monopoly Go, the better.
You’ll also be receivingprizes for completing set numbers of lapsduring each race. When you complete the requisite number of laps in Beach Racers, you’ll get the choice between a number of different milestone rewards like some free dice rolls,lump sum cash payouts, different colors of stickers, and maybe even more flag tokens to keep using during the event.
Each player on the team will get their own lap prizes as the team’s car completes these laps on the track - another reason it pays to work together, since everyone reaps the rewards for completing these laps.
Each race lasts 24 hours, giving everyone the same amount of time to spend theflag tokensyou’ve been earning in a variety of ways, such as:
The final scores for Beach Racers in Monopoly Go this month are calculated at the end of the event, with this month’s Tycoon Racers eventaveraging the number of medals of all three racesto determine which teams placed where.Prizes are awarded at the end of the event, so don’t get discouraged if your team has a bad race!
