Fallout: Londonis a DLC-sized conversion mod of Fallout 4 that takes players away from the usual setting on American soil into a post-apocalyptic depiction of London. The game doesn’t beat around the bush; right after finalizing your character’s physical appearance, you must make your escape from an underground research facility.

Before long, the power turns off, and you must navigate the dark corridors. However, the game won’t let you progress without finding a Torch first, let alone turning it on. Finding one is simple, but using it is easier said than done, especially if it’s your first time playing a Fallout game.

How To Turn On The Torch

In Fallout: London, thePip-Boy’s iteration is the Atta-Boy. This is your go-to gadget for managing a lot of things, such as looking up your stats, browsing your inventory, and many more. You’llneed the Atta-Boy to use the Torch, but fortunately, you get it rather early when you’re prompted to pick up the device after setting free the caged Radshrews.

From where you grab your Atta-Boy,slot it into the Atta-Boy Docking Portto unlock the door, and head over to the locked metal gate where you’ll hear some talking voices on the other side. Soon after, the facility willlose power, and yournext task will be finding a Torch.

One is rather close by on adead scientistjust before the metal gate. Don’t worry about stealing it, as he won’t be needing it anymore. Once you’ve got the Torch, ensure it’s equipped, and you can check it by bringing out the Atta-Boy and heading into theAPPAREL Tab in INV (Inventory).

If you see asquared dotto the left of the Torch, you’ll know it’s equipped.

Now, the tricky part - turning on the Torch. It’s not really hard, but rather sneaky. You do it like you would in any Fallout game: byholding the key that brings out the Atta-Boyor Pip-Boy.

While theFallout: London mod is only available on PC, here are the different key mappings you’ll need to hold whether you’re on a keyboard or controller:

Once the Torch is in use, adirectional beam of light will illuminate the areain your field of vision, and aflashlight iconon the right-hand side of the screen will indicate that it’s active.

With the Torch in hand and turned on, you’ll be able toproceed with your escapewith ease.

You also won’t have to worry about theTorch running out of juiceorenemies spotting you while you’re sneaking aroundwith it turned on.
