The Prayer Room Key is an essential item needed to complete Fire Knight Queelign’s quest inElden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree. Fire Knight Queelign is an NPC who invades you a couple of times as you progress through the Land of Shadow. These invasions are a part of a small quest with some lucrative rewards at the end.
Obtaining the Prayer Room Key is simple: all you need to do is to complete both the invasions by Fire Knight Queelign. However, using the key can be a little confusing, especially if you have not done a lot of exploration.
How To Get The Prayer Room Key
The first thing you will need to do is to actually get thePrayer Room Key. This requires you tokill Fire Knight Queelignin two separate invasions.
First Invasion
You will initially encounterQueelign in Belurat Tower Settlement. From the ‘Small Private Altar’ Sight of Grace,head up the stairs to come across a Horned Warrior.
Once killed,turn right again to reach a large courtyard with a treein the center. This is where Fire Knight Queelign will invade you for the first time.
Second Invasion
Thesecond invasionoccurs in theChurch of the Crusade in Scadu Atlus. The building is marked by a cross on the map, towards the northwest side of the ‘Highroad Cross’ Sight of Grace.
Immediately after entering the building, Fire Knight Queelign will invade. You will get thePrayer Room Key andAsh of War: Flame Skewerfor killing him.
Where To Use The Prayer Room Key
Once you have the Prayer Room Key, you will need totravel to theChurch Districton the eastern side of Shadow Keep.
The easiest way to get there is through theMoorth Ruins. Continue totravel south-east to reach Bonny Villageand keep on following the trailpast a couple of wooden bridgesto eventually reachShadow Keep: Church District.
From the ‘Church District Entrance’ Sight of Grace,jump forward onto a rooftopand continue along the path to jump onto a ledge with a broken section filled with water.
Jump to your right and onto a large rooftopwhere you will need to deal with a Messmer Knight. From there, you should be able tojump on some columns leading to a large rooftop in the middleof the area.
There area few ignited enemies on the rooftopsthat can easily throw you off the ledges if you are not careful. Try to deal with them using ranged weapons.
You need tojump down onto the crossed beams from the rooftopanduse the Prayer Room Keyto open the door on the right side.
Inside, you will find Fire Knight Queelign praying to Queen Marika. At this point, you have a few choices to make:
