Deadlockhas a diverse roster of heroes with immense potential for innovative and awe-inspiring playstyles. While many of them can be too complex to wrap your head around, others are much more beginner-friendly. Seven happens to be one of those heroes, and his easy-to-learn playstyle makes for a highly rewarding experience for newcomers.
Don’t let that fool you, though. Seven, in the hands of an experienced player, can take the world of Deadlock by storm using a highly versatile electric-wielding kit of abilities. As a skirmisher, Seven also excels at getting in and out of fights and can inflict some of the most powerful area-of-effect (AOE) damage in the game.

Seven Overview
If Seven was an RPG character, he would probably be someone who deals long-range damage while mastering the art of electricity and lightning. Additionally, Seven can deal a lot of AOE damage bychaining his attacksanddelivering large bursts of explosive shots.
Seven does70 damage per second (DPS), holds 29 ammo at a time, and deals 63 melee damage. He also has abase movement speed of seven m/s and a max health of 550.
These are some basic stats that may feel a bit unreliable early in the match but becomea strong foundation for mid to late-gameupgrades as you progress through the game.
Abilities
As you can tell already,Seven is a connoisseur of electricity and guns. Hence, all of his abilities focus on using these in synergy, which can be a deadly force of nature to go against in Deadlock.
Moreover, based on how you build your character, he can inflict a lot of damage from afar or be an aggressive fighter who isn’t afraid of facing enemies head-on.
Description
Lightning Ball
Shoot a ball of lightingthat travels in a straight path. It deals80 DPS to all targetsin its radius.
Static Charge
You apply astatic charge to an enemy hero. After a few moments,this charge stuns and damages anyone in that radius. The stun duration lasts for 1.1 seconds.
Power Surge
For ten seconds, your weapon is charged up anddeals shock damageto targets. This damage alsobounces between enemies.
Storm Cloud
For seven seconds, you channel astorm cloud that deals 124 DPSto every enemy within its radius.
Lightning Ball and Power Charge are likely to be your most used abilities when farming souls, while Static Charge and Storm Cloud are best used against other opponents.
However, playing Seven gives you theflexibility of having a build that’s highly versatile, andyou can be a worthy skirmisher for your team.
Enemies that areout of sight don’t take damage from the Storm Cloud. When triggering this ability, make sure you’re aware of your surroundings.
Upgrades And Build For Seven
Seven’s build focuses mainly onfast firing rates, quick reloads, and keeping him strong and energizedenough for the late game. Additionally, certain items can help his abilities maximize output, letting enemies be prone to more electric attacks.
As you collect souls,stay mindful of certain items you’d want to purchase from the Curiosity Shop.

Early Game: Focus on basic damage output and health improvement.
Basic Magazine, Extra Regen, Hollow Point Rounds, Infuser, Extra Health, and Enduring Spirit.
Mid Game: Improving farming, faster reloads, and stealing health from enemies.
Tesla Bullets, Active Reload, Slowing Bullets, Spirit Armor, Fleetfoot, and Spirit Lifesteal.
Late Game: Maximized output from abilities, mobility, and high damage.
Improved Spirit, Ethereal Shift, Surge of Power, Mystic Slow, Majestic Leap, Improved Bullet Armor, and Improved Spirit Armor.
While these items areessential to get for a sturdy build that’s highly reliable, there are certain additional items that you should consider. These will help Seven during times of crisis and also give you an edge over enemies when it comes to team fights.
Playstyle Strategy
Since Deadlock combines multiple MOBA elements with hero shooter mechanics, it’s essential to master Seven’s movements as well.
The hero has a weapon that fires in burst rounds, which meansyou must be careful with your shots and reload often. After every few bursts, make sure you’re reloading when there’s time for it.
Lightning Ball For Farming
If you wish to put on an aggressive persona early in the game, Seven’s Lightning Ball can be the best skill to level up first. It’sthe ideal ability to clear waves of minions and push towards the front line. Having at least two charges will allow you to farm souls quicker early on and make your character more reliable with long-range shots.
Static Charge Before And After A Fight
As you progress through the game, it’s best to start investing points in Static Charge. You’ll likely cross paths with an enemy who’s fighting against you in the same lane or have to deal with them firsthand.
In these situations,stunning them before engaging is the best way to ensure you’re diving into a fight prepared.
Do keep in mind that usingStatic Charge as a getaway tool can be a clever way of ditching a fight. Stun an enemy and quickly run away.
After all, a battle is only worth it if you come out alive. Sometimes, it’s best to quit a fight rather than face defeat during a crucial moment in the game.
Power Surge And Lightning Ball Synergy
On the other hand, putting points in Power Surge can be more helpful if your focus is on farming early-to-mid game. During this time, you’re able to completely stay away from big fights, and that’s okay.
Combined with a Lightning Ball,Power Surge can be the perfect way of earning soulsuntil you have enough to invest in late-game items. Thankfully, Seven’s kit is highly versatile and lets you be a skirmisher in such cases.
Storm Cloud Is Highly Situational
Finally, on the surface, it may seem like Seven’s Storm Cloud may be the ultimate ability that wreaks havoc regardless of when you use it. Unfortunately, that’s only situational, and as you play more matches,opponents will likely predict your moves and stay away from your Storm Cloud.
To make the most of this ability, keep an eye out for the enemy team’s behavior. Have they used up all their resources? Have their best players exhausted major abilities?
In that case, you have a better chance of dealing powerful damage through Storm Cloud.You’ll likely want to upgrade this ability in the late game scenario.
Don’t forget to reload before using Power Surge. Additionally, an item like Active Reload can help expedite this process.
