Being able to play with your pets inWeyrdletsis always a good time. After tending to your pet’s needs, you’re free to customize their appearance and even decorate their home. When time’s running short, and you need to leave the island, you can bring your Weyrdlet along with you.
With the help of Desktop mode, you can bring your Weyrdlet off the island to your desktop. While you work away and take care of business, your pet will roam around and play just like they had on the island. Desktop mode is perfect if you’re looking for a buddy to keep you company while you work.
How To Open Desktop Mode
Open the Bottom Right Hot Corner menuand select the Desktop icon from the list of options. Some time after receiving your first Weyrdlet,Fetch will appear and ask if you need helpaccessing Desktop mode. If you accept his help, he’ll walk you through Desktop mode and a few of its features.
Fetch will still ask you about Desktop modeeven if you’ve used Desktop mode in the past.
How To Use Desktop Mode
After opening Desktop mode,your Weyrdlet and any assigned Minipets will appear on your Desktopalong with two mini bars. One mini-bar displays your Weyrdlet’s stats while the other displays a list of available options.
you’re able to return to the island byclicking the house icon on the options mini bar.You canclose the mini bar entirely by clicking the egg iconand expand the hotbar by clicking on the arrow next to the Settings icon.
While in Desktop mode,your Weyrdlet will run aroundjust like they do on the island. you may feed your Weyrdlet, pet them, and evenhave them sit still with the Stay commandif they’re too distracting. You can alsouse any items in your Favorites Bagto feed and play with your Weyrdlet.
Weyrdlets will still dig while in Desktop mode, so you can still collect Shinies while you work on other tasks.
How To Use Widgets
In the Settings menu, you can access the Widget Settings. Widgets are a variety offeatures that can be toggled on or off to help with productivitywhile in Desktop mode. You canset a timer with the Pomodoro option, create a To-Do List, and reflect on your state of mind with the Wellness Tracker.
