WhileKunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddessmay first and foremost appear to be a Tower Defence-esque game, it has depth in other areas that are not typically customary in the genre. Take Soh for example, our leading hero that guides Yoshiro and the villagers in this journey.
While they are initially weak, you might assume they simply are limited in abilities, wanting you to focus on the Villagers instead. Yet after passing a certain point in the game, Soh gains the power to upgrade themself, leading to surprising depth. Read on to get an overview of every ability for Soh in Kunitsu-Gami and which you should focus on first.

How To Unlock Soh’s Upgrades
We briefly see Soh at the beginning of the game in the prime of their strength, though this is rather quickly whisked away from them. You are then left with a comparatively paltry set of actions for Soh, mainly involvingattacks, dodging, and blocking.
After defeatingBatsu, the boss of Moegi Ridgeand the sixth mission in the game, Soh is returned to full power, and you may upgrade them with Musubi.

Soh’s upgrades are accessed from Yoshiro’s tents byinteracting with their maskon the same screen as you upgrade all other Villager Roles.

Once you’ve unlocked Soh’s upgrades, they are accessed and upgraded in a manner similar to other Villager Roles. Rather than being direct upgrades, however, Soh hasfive different categories to choose fromand almost any ability can be unlocked without prerequisites.
Each category has adifferent number of abilities and Musubi cost, so read on to get a deeper dive into all of them individually.
You can reassign your Musubi points from Yoshiro’s tent anytime you like without any cost to yourself, so you can change up Soh and your Villager’s whenever you like.
